Do you want a Wyrd job? Well, one's been made available. Wyrd is looking for a new freelance Concept and Character artist. The artist will work closely with the Wyrd development team on a new game line (well, there's news in and of itself!). Personally, I can't draw a stick figure without a drafting machine, so I'm out of the running, but if you're more artistically inclined than myself, perhaps you should look into it.
As a Freelancer, you do get to set your own hours and can basically work from wherever you find it most comfortable to do so. Sure, you'll still have deadlines and need to be in contact with the Wyrd design team about your progress, but if you're the "I like to get up about 2pm and generally just fall asleep whenever" type, you can still do that sort of thing. And from what I've found from the concept artists I know, that's pretty much standard.
If you're interested in applying, send your resume, portfolio, and a cost breakdown for your work to firstname.lastname@example.org.
They're looking for a unique and distinct art style. So if you think you've got the chops for it, check it out.
