You know, vampires are a tricky group. Just when you think you've got 'em, they can suddenly slip away, forcing you to chase after them all over again. Dark Gate Games is tenacious, though, and they're once more hunting down vampires with their Vampire Hunters board game on Kickstarter. And this time around, it's looking like steak is on the menu for everyone.
In the game, players take on the role of the Hunters, a small order of soldiers who have long-defended against the Vampires. However, a long drought between Vampire attacks has left the Hunters a bit out of practice. This new generation of Hunters must relearn old skills and hunting tactics if they wish to stem the tide of monsters. The game is cooperative for 1-4 players. Using things like stakes, holy water, and sunlight, the Hunters must take the fight to the Vampires. However, once the sun goes down, the tide begins to turn and the Hunters can become the Hunted.
The Kickstarter campaign got off to quite a start, funding pretty much right away. As such, it's on to stretch goals for the next 29 days.
