Everyone's always wanting to make their RPG their own. What me and my group of gamers want for our game is more-than-likely going to be drastically different than what you and your friends want for yours. So having a system that can accommodate just about everything is ideal. That's what the Unbound RPG looks to do. They're up on Kickstarter now.
The game uses a card-based system for combats and skills. Players have their character sheets and when an action is made, they draw a card, adding the number on their card to whatever extra bonuses they might get from skills and abilities. The GM also draws a card and adds in whatever bonuses are relevant as well. The highest total wins. Also, whatever suit you drew might also have an effect on the outcome.
The campaign is rather close to their funding goal with 14 days left to go.
