Troublemaker Games has launched an Indiegogo campaign in order to fund a new line of 6mm miniatures.

From the campaign:

Hi everyone,

We’re looking to produce some new 6mm scifi army plastic sprues.

Our initial goal is well on its way to being met, but beyond that we’ve got some great stretch goals planned, including more models on the sprues (for the same price – so entry level pledgers will get their boxes upgraded for free if we hit Stretch Goal #1), plastic buildings (suitable for 6mm or 10mm gaming), and with a little extra push, a boxed game…

Lessee – room for 15 figures on the bases, only 14 of each type of figure on the sprue. Hrm.

Does make me hanker for those old Epic 40k plastic sprues – they managed to jam in so much stuff! I still haven’t forgiven GW for the half-assed way it tried to reboot Epic. Rules were okay, but the product support just wasn’t there – trying to sell metal versions of the plastic infantry? O__o

    Hey Haibane!

On the spare bases on the basic sprue, our idea is that we’ll be providing metal command figures if we don’t hit the first stretch goal (£3500), so people will need spare bases.

At £3500 we’ll have a separate sprue of bases (as well as twice as many tanks and troops on the armies sprue, giving 20% more models per box for no extra cost), so supplying extra bases in the box isn’t needed anymore. See the gallery page for what those sprues would look like.

    Hope that makes sense. 🙂

    • How are you getting a sprue made so cheap?!

        Hi headzombie,

We’re putting thousands of our own cash into the project behind the scenes, so it’s not as cheap as it may appear. 🙂

  • Two-thirds funded already. Impressive.
