Four noble houses are looking to create the best town layout they can. However, what's good for one house might not be good for another. As such, there's competition for space and only so many buildings can be built within the town space. It's a race to get the best buildings in the most strategic locations in Town Squares, a new card game by Overactive Games, that's up on Kickstarter now.
In the game, players are given identical decks of cards. They're shuffled and set face-down in front of them. Starting with the first player, they take the top card of the deck and play it, face-up, out onto the game space. The next player then does the same. Cards being played must share an edge with a card already in play (no diagonals). The cards represent different types of buildings and are worth different points depending on the layout of cards on the board. Place yours to score the most amount of points while trying to block your opponent out from scoring. Have the most points when everyone has played their cards and you win.
The campaign's about 2/3 to funding with still 14 days left to go.
