I used to play Chess a lot when I was younger. I even had a little, wooden travel-set that I'd take with me to school and play at lunch. This was back in like 4th-6th grade. I'm not going to say that I was ever spectacular at it. I was never going to be the next Bobby Flay... err... Fisher, or anything, but I didn't lose all my games, either. Of course, Chess is just for two players. But up on Kickstarter now is a project for a 3-player Chess board.
The figures for the game are made out of ebony and boxwood and have a little, lead weight in them to keep them stable. The bottoms of the pieces have a little piece of felt there to keep them from scratching the board.
As for the board, itself, you get to pick what colors you want it to be made out of, so each one is personalized to you.
What if you just want a two-player board? Well, they'll make one of those for you, too.
The campaign is running now and is set to do so for another 12 days. So hurry if you want to get in on this one.
