When I was a kid, my family would occasionally have a game night after dinner. Usually, this consisted of playing Uno. Uno's good, but it's not exactly the most exciting game. If you've got a couple of little ones in the house, you might want to play a game that's more engaging and action-oriented. In that case, you'll want to check out The Family Showdown, which is up on Kickstarter now.
In the game, players are broken up into teams and must compete in different tasks in order to move along the board. Different tasks include singing songs, but only using the word "Blah," while your other teammates try to guess the song. Or you have to find random objects around the house, as called out by teammates from a card. It's all meant to get a bit more out of your gaming sessions than just playing some cards.
The Kickstarter campaign's up and running now. They're set to run for another 15 days.
