The Europa Incident Board Game Up On Kickstarter

The asteroid belt. That area of our solar system that never could quite pull itself together into a planet. The gravitational forces were never quite right. However, the loss of a planet is the gain of various corporations. Various groups are looking to mine those huge space rocks for the valuable minerals therein. That's what you'll be looking to do in The Europa Incident, a new board game from Fucina Logica Games that's up on Kickstarter now.

About the game:

The Europa Incident, the first game designed by Cristian Mungherli and produced by Fucina Logica Games, is going to be launched on Kickstarter!

The crowdfunding campaign will begin on Monday 29 January and will run for a month on Kickstarter platform. It is the first experience for Fucina Logica Games as well as its first game title.

When will Humanity be able to colonize the Asteroid Belt that runs through our Solar System?
When will Man be able to take advantage of the mineral resources present there, and when will they become a commodity to bargain or a reason for conflict between different factions?
What will be new socio-demographic conglomerates that will arise in the near future?
What will be the aspirations of future human begins?
While trying to give an answer, even if fictional, to these questions, The Europa Incident was born!

The Europa Incident is a science fiction boardgame from 2 to 4 players, about the control of the most strategically and economically useful sites in the Main Asteroid Belt of our Solar System by mega-corporations, transnational agencies, and armed organizations. The game rules allow players to control and expand an area of space within the asteroid belt, interfering with opponents and seeking dominance of one or another Faction through war operations.

The opening pledge features the purchase of a box containing 4 factions, but if the project will go well there will be new factions and new rules for playing up to 8 players at the same time!

The game's a bit more than 1/4 funded with still 26 days left to go.
