The Duel: Point of Honor Card Game Up On Kickstarter

In the far-off and distant future, humanity is no more. The only thing that's left are the armies of robots that we created and programmed to fight. But not with guns or tanks or bombs, these robots are designed to sword fight to the finish. And, being robots, they remember past mistakes and always are improving their skills. In the end, only one robot will be victorious. That's the story in The Duel: Point of Honor, a new strategy card game that's up on Kickstarter now.

From the campaign:

Civilization is gone but robots remain, programmed to fight for all of eternity. In The Duel: Point of Honor, sword-fighting robots engage in intense and thoughtful combat to test their knowledge and skill.

As the robots endlessly fight, they train and learn from their previous battles. Every time the robots meet, they employ new strategies and tactics to best their opponent and achieve Honor.

In the Duel: Point of Honor, you take on the roles of two of these robots. You engage in a number of battles to determine who is the more renowned fencer and who is the most honorable automaton.

You have many options for victory. You can be celebrated for being agile and skilled. You can earn Honor for your pageantry, decorum and character. Or you can let your blade do the talking and leave your opponent scarred and damaged.

But be warned, the more damaged your opponent becomes, the more options they will get to train and improve their skills for future battles.

The game's a bit more than 1/4 of its way to its goal with still 23 days left to go.
