“Ok, you’re not welcome!”
No, I mean that Armoured Digital, a new sci-fi skirmish game, is full of tanks and other armored vehicles (or, I suppose, armoured vehicles) that you “program” using your activation cards, deciding where and when your figures will turn, fire, and move. The game is up on Kickstarter now.
And we’ve made it, once again, to Friday. Woot!
The weekend lays ahead of us. If you’re lucky, you’ve got some gaming scheduled. That’s what I’ll be doing.
In the meantime, we’ve got our regular set of bite-sized gaming stories for you.
On the platter today we have: Sine Tempore Coming To Kickstarter, Devil’s Run RPG Coming To Kickstarter, Unit Reference Cards for Combat Patrol Napoleonic Skirmish Released, Raging Heroes Releases Toughest Girls of the Galaxy Heavy Weapons Teams, Board Game Beaver Interviews Anne Pätzke, Brother Vinni Releases Robotic Dog, Kromlech Weekend Promo Happening Now, and Dreamchaser: A Game of Destiny Coming To Kickstarter.
And we go from battling goats to battling hamsters. Because why not? That’s why! Hamsters can be every bit as fierce as mutant goats!
Hamsters are well-known for storing things in their cheeks. Now that’s been turned into a battle card game. In CheekZ, players are looking to be the first to store 10 sunflower seeds in their cheeks, but all the other hamsters are looking to knock you out and be the first, themselves.
Word Forge Games takes you into the post-apocalyptic future of the American West in The Devil’s Run: Route 666, their new board game project that’s up on Kickstarter now. The game is a fast-moving vehicular combat game that utilizes a special “rolling board” mechanic where tiles are placed to represent the next stretch of road that your gang will be riding on. I remember old Gorka-Morka scenarios that were like that. Though The Devil’s Run uses a grid system to help keep track of where everyone is a bit easier.
