Spartan Games has started taking pre-orders for their next wave out of releases. These are the figure sets that will be available starting on February 24th. They're bunched into two types this time around. First there are a bunch of new hexes for Planetfall. Next, they have a new game: Firestorm Taskforce.
It's Thanksgiving week (for us here in the US). And while where you're at they might not celebrate Thanksgiving, or might not celebrate it at the same time (I'm looking at you, Canadians), the whole world pays attention to it, as it means the start of the Christmas Shopping Season, kicking off with Black Friday. Well, it's not Black Friday yet, but that doesn't mean the deals haven't already started. Such as these from Spartan Games.
As usual, just about a month before they're available, Spartan Games has started taking pre-orders for their next sets of releases. Considering what they have on deck, one could say they're really making a "token effort" with this new batch.
... I guess you only get that joke when you see what they're actually taking orders for. I guess I should probably show you that.
Spartan likes to make sure that you guys are prepared for their latest releases. They give you about a month and a half to get your orders in for their latest sets of figures. Such is the case today, as they're letting you know what you can expect to start shipping on November 25th. If you're a fan of Halo: Fleet Battles and Forestorm Planetfall, then you'll want to take a look at what they have coming up.
We're just chock full of pre-releases this morning here on TGN. There were the new Age of Sigmar figures. There's the Warpath Kickstarter (which some consider Kickstarters to just be "glorified pre-releases." I disagree on many occasions, but that's a discussion for the comments section). Now we've got a large amount of Spartan Games pre-releases to let you know about. The releases that'll start shipping on Oct. 28th have been posted in the Spartan webshop.
Nobody likes just having the bare minimum for something. "Well, it's just enough to get by." isn't something people like to say or admit to. Having double the amount gives you a lot more options and flexibility and just generally makes things more pleasant. It's with that in mind that Spartan Games has reinstated their Double Helix Deals over in their webshop.
You've hopefully seen some of the photos I posted from the Spartan Games display yesterday. If not, go check them out. If you have, what'd you think? Halo has made it to the tabletops with The Fall of Reach starter. Now, Spartan has started taking pre-orders for some more Halo goodies, as well as some releases for a few of their other games.
Spartan Games is helping link together two of their games. Firestorm Armada and Firestorm Planetfall are being combined via Firestorm System Wars. The first of these supplemental rules are going out with the upcoming Invasion Fleets that Spartan is selling. Phase 1's main feature is a rewards table that will help show that what happens up in the skies has an effect on what happens down below. There's also four scenarios and six new commanders.
Spartan Games has updated their webshop with their new releases that will be coming out on June 24th. You can start taking orders for these new figures to make sure that you're the first gamer on your block with these models when they're released. They've got new releases for Firestorm Armada, Firestorm Planetfall, and Dystopian Legions. So if you play any of those games, you'll want to go check out what will be available coming up next month.
Spartan Games has posted up their next set of pre-releases on their website. These new kits will be available May 27th, but you can get your orders in now to make sure you have them on your doorstep ASAP when they're released. If you play Firestorm Armada or Firestorm Planetfall, there's plenty for you to look at. For Armada, there are the new Hawker Industries and Works Raptor box sets. For Planetfall, well, there's something for everyone. Each faction is getting a new Recon Helixes, as well as Light Infantry Upgrade box sets. Check them all out below the cut.

From the announcement:
Spartan Games added a whole slew of new pre-orders available up on their website. They have various Dystopian Wars sets, including one with a steam-mechanical alligator (which is pretty awesome if you ask me). There's various bomber sets coming for Dystopian Legions. There's also a trio of Planetfall kits, including a gigantic 6-legged sort of space-rhino thing with a whole command center on its back.
There's 18 of them (new releases, that is), total, to check out.

From the announcement:
Spartan Games has a bunch of special deals they're running now over on their website. Want to get a free rulebook? Or perhaps a free blister of minis? Or perhaps a great deal on two starter boxes? Mosey on over and see what's in store. But you only have until the end of the month to partake in these deals before they're gone.

From the announcement:
Spartan Games is showing off and taking pre-orders for their batch of minis they'll be releasing on March 25th. There's a little something for everyone, whether you play Dystopian Legions, Firestorm Armada, Dystopian Wars, or Firestorm Planetfall. There's a lot of photos just beyond the cut to ogle.
I'm a fan of the giant robots, myself.

From the preview:
Spartan Games is bringing some oversight to Firestorm Armada with their new Return of the Overseers box set that's coming out in January. The box contains two starter fleets (the Aquans and the Directorate), along with a mysterious, alien dimensional gate that comes into play in the missions in the book that comes along with the set. The box also has the 2.0 version of the rulebook, along with any tokens and templates and dice that are required for the game.

But that's not all from the Firestorm universe coming in January.
Spartan Games posted their last set of pre-orders for this year. There's a whole bunch to see, so check 'em out.

From the announcement:

Spartan Games is hugely excited to announce the much-anticipated launch of Planetfall – a fast-paced, action packed game of massed 10mm armoured and infantry conflict set in the Firestorm Armada galaxy.

Devastating tanks, sleek aerial units, crushing artillery, orbital drop-ships and elite infantry forces fight over objectives, each side seeking to achieve their key objectives at the expense of the other. Planetfall uses an ugo-igo system, with an activation mechanism based around Helixes – the building blocks of every force. Games are tactical, combat is ferocious, and the gameplay engine is built around Spartan Games’ established Exploding D6 mechanic, making it fast and intuitive.

Spartan Games has a bit more information up about their upcoming sci-fi game, Planetfall, based in the Firestorm Armada universe.

From the website:

Planetfall is a tabletop game of explosive, fast paced armoured combat, set in the exciting and ever expanding Firestorm Galaxy.

In this deadly, hard sci-fi setting, hordes of futuristic tanks, agile aircraft and hulking mech-walkers tear one another asunder with high powered weaponry. Lasers burn across the tabletop, rail-gun slugs smash through armoured hulls and advanced cyber-warfare weapons hack through vital systems – the war zones of the distant future are no place for the faint hearted.

Firestorm Planetfall puts you in the role of a Grand Commander, orchestrating the manoeuvres of your chosen army. Each of your Battle Groups will contain several Squadrons of stunningly detailed 10mm scale miniatures, ranging from towering Behemoths to platoons of Infantry, all prepared to fight to the last under your command.

Spartan Games is making sure you get your Planetfall models as soon as possible by taking names of those that want them right away.
