PAX East

The popular tower defense series Orcs Must Die from Robot Entertainment has spawned three video games so far. Now, with Petersen Games, the Orcs will keep dying on your tabletops. On Friday at PAX East, Petersen Games and Robot Entertainment announced the upcoming Orcs Must Die: The Board Game. Technically, they announced two games: Orcs Must Die: Order and Orcs Must Die: Unchained. These two core sets can be played on their own as cooperative tower defense board games or combined to create a PvP game. Each set will feature a fair number of 28mm miniatures representing the games' different heroes and enemies.

For more about the games:
Catalyst Game Labs will soon be making the trek to Boston for PAX East. Get a look at what they'll be bringing with them to the show.
If you're going to be there, make sure to give Randall a hug. Tell him I sent you.

From the post:
Privater Press Business Director Will stopped and talked with our roving reporter Bo while at PAX East (yes, we kept Bo busy while there). Here's the interview:

Randall Bills from Catalyst Game Labs was kind enough to talk to Bo, our roving TGN Reporter, while at PAX East. We promised we'd post this, and here it is.

Catalyst Game Labs has posted up their thoughts on PAX East, their first time ever going there.
And stay tuned. In our 6:30pm update (that'd be the next one we post) we'll show you our interview with Randall Bills.

From the report:

Last weekend Catalyst Game Labs attended Pax East for the first time. We’d heard great things about the convention, especially the volume of TableTop gamers. And we were not disappointed in the slightest.

Steve Jackson Games also was gracious enough to talk with Bo, one of the two roving reports of the TGN Action News Team at PAX East. We get a look into the current status of Ogre, the future of Munchkin and even a demo of Castellan.

Mercs Miniatures was kind enough to stop and talk with Bo, one of our intrepid roving reporters on the TGN Action News Team while at PAX East and talk some about their Myth game. (check out their Kickstarter here)

Catalyst Game Labs will be attending the GAMA Trade Show and PAX East next week. Will you be there?
Sadly, I won't...

From the announcement:

Catalyst Game Labs is attending the GAMA Trade Show, as well as for the first time Pax East!

For those attending Pax East we’ll be at booths C701-C706 selling our games and running a swath of demos. From BattleTech and Leviathans to Balance of Power and The Duke (come by the booth and walk away with a free cut-out-and-play version of this game!), as well as special “convention playtests” for Shadowrun, Fifth Edition and Shadowrun: Crossfire (both games are in layout, so they won’t look very pretty at the show, but you’ll get a first chance to find out the meat of what’s coming mere months away!)

What does this mean for those not attending? It means that from March 19th till March 25th pretty much all personnel will be away from their normal communications (websites, emails, phones, you name it), including customer service.

As such, if you’re trying to contact anyone at Catalyst, please be patient during that time. Additionally, the reality is that it will also take a few days after the 25th before we’re able to dig our way out from under a week’s worth of communications, so expect a few days more after that.

We look forward to seeing everyone at these shows and for those unable to attend, thanks for your patience over the next two weeks…see you on the flip side!
