I just realized that I wear a blue shirt on Mondays.
I know you, and The Cure don't care, but I wanted to mention it anyway.

The other thing Monday has going for it is one of our Terrain Corner features we tend to have.

Want a kick-ass looking gaming table? These stories can help.

Today we have: Acheson Creations Releases Bridge of Sorrows and PaperTerrain Celebrates 10 Years in Business-with a Sale.

PaperTerrain has a new Oriental Temple terrain piece available over in their webshop.

From the release:

PaperTerrain’s Oriental hamlets, villages, and Nobel’s House kits have attracted a lot of attention since they were released about a year ago. But one thing was missing: a Temple! Temples dotted the oriental landscape and now you can add one to your game table! PaperTerrain’s model temple comes in 4 different scales. The 10/12mm scale kit measures 5” x 4” x 4 ½” high and costs $10.00. The 15mm scale kit measures 7” x 5 ½” x 6” high and costs $15.00. The 20mm scale kit measures 9” x 7” x 8” high and costs $20.00. The 25/28mm scale kit measures 11” x 9” x 9 ½” and costs $25.00.

PaperTerrain expands their terrain line with new tents.

From the announcement:

The cone-shaped Bell Tent was a common type of tent used by many armies in the 18th & 19th century. The tents in this kit are modeled after the British Army tents of the late 19th century, but they would also serve as the Sibley Tents of the American Civil War or for many others. PaperTerrain now offers this classic tent. The 10/12mm scale tents are 1 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/8" high and they come 30 to a set. The 15mm scale tents are 1 3/4" in diameter and 1 5/8" high and come 20 tents to a set. The 20mm tents are 2 3/8" in diameter and are 2 1/4" high and come 20 tents to a set. The 25/28mm tents are 3" in diameter and 2 3/4" high and come 10 tents to a set. All sets are $15.00.

PaperTerrain now has their Rorke's Drift terrain set available over in their webshop.

From the release:

The Zulu War of 1879 is a fascinating period of history. And perhaps the most famous battle of the war was the gallant defense of the mission station at Rorke's Drift where a small group of British soldiers held off an attack by a huge number of disciplined Zulu Warriors. PaperTerrain now offers the Mission Station at Rorke's Drift as a paper model! This kit allows you to build an accurate scale model of the buildings and structures at Rorke's Drift. The kit includes the Hospital Building, the Commissary Building, a stone kraal, and the mealey bag and biscuit box barricades and redoubt that were built by the defenders. The kit can be constructed with our without additional reinforcements in the walls (if you wish to add the reinforcement to the wall, you will need foamboard or balsa wood or some similar material which is NOT included in the kit). The two buildings come with complete interior detail and lift-off roofs-perfect for gaming! The kit comes in 4 scales. The 25/28mm kit is approximately 45" long by 20" wide when assembled. The 20mm kit is 36" by 16", the 15mm scale is 27" by 12" and the 10/12mm scale kit is 20" by 9".

PaperTerrain will be unveiling their new Oriental Houses while over at Historicon. Go and check 'em out.

From the announcement:

For years people have come up to me and asked if I had any Japanese or Chinese houses and I’ve always had to sadly say no. Well, I don’t have to do that anymore! PaperTerrain is proud to announce its new range of Oriental Houses! Japanese and Korean traditional architecture was based on Chinese styles, so these model buildings can serve for Chinese, Japanese or Korean buildings. Hamlet Pack #1 includes six buildings including a mill with a water wheel. Hamlet Pack #2 includes five buildings with a large inn. Both sets also include sheds and outbuildings and fences. The Oriental Noble’s House is surrounded by the distinctive tile-capped walls. There is also a separate set of walls available. A temple set is coming soon! All these kits come pre-printed in full color on heavy cardstock, ready for you to cut out and assemble. The kits are available in 10/12mm, 15mm, 20mm and 25/28mm scales. 6mm coming soon.
These kits will debut at the Historicon Convention July 19-22 and will be available for order from the PaperTerrain website shortly after that.
