Pacific Rim: Extinction

The one thing about crowdfunding campaigns is that they only last so long. Miss out, and those deals and exclusives are gone forever... or are they? That's where the Late Pledge time comes in. River Horse has opened up late pledges for their Pacific Rim board game. Jump in your Jaeger and go take out some Kaiju.
The giant robots in Pacific Rim don't just run on their own. No, Jaegars have pilots, a pair of them in fact, that control the robot's movements. In Pacific Rim: Extinction, that element is put into play via the Conn-Pod board. Players are able to customize their robots via the pilots they put in charge. We get a look at the card and some insight into how it works in this new preview from River Horse.
We're regularly getting new previews of the upcoming Pacific Rim: Extinction board game coming from River Horse. We got a look at some of the mins, and then there's the Jaeger card. This time, we see what the Jaeger's well be fighting. Check out a Kaiju card.
So, one thing people have been wondering about is, "we've seen some of the minis, but what will the gameplay be like in River Horse's upcoming Pacific Rim: Extinction game?" I'm glad you've asked, as River Horse has some new info out. One's over on their Facebook page, which shows off an Action card and gives a bit of a description of what's going on. The other is on their website and gives a bigger general overview of the game.
So, people are pretty excited about Pacific Rim: Extinction. I know I am (hey, I dig giant robots). We've seen some previews, but it's hard to get scale info from the figures, and what other info is there about them? Well, in this preview, we get a look. Long story short: 75-100mm tall, pre-painted.
There was more than one Jaeger that went up to fight against the Kaiju that were finding their way into our world. Saber Athena was one of them. I mean... it's a giant robot with a huge-ass sword, specializing in close-combat work. So you know I'm on board. Check out this preview for the upcoming Pacific Rim: Extinction board game coming from River Horse.
Ok, so you've got your giant robot. But besides joyriding across the countryside (using buses as skates, because of course), what are you going to go do with it? How about fight giant monsters? Yeah, that sounds like a plan. And River Horse is showing off the first of the monsters (or Kaiju, if you will), the Shrikethorn, for Pacific Rim: Extinction, their upcoming board game.
Giant Robot alert! We have a Giant Robot alert! In this case, it's Gipsy Avenger, the first preview that River Horse has posted up for their upcoming Pacific Rim: Extinction board game. They'll be launching a Kickstarter for it starting on March 12th. I'm sure we're all looking forward to more previews.
