International Tabletop Day. It’s like our true gaming holiday. I’ll be spending it playing D&D with friends (even doing a live stream and then uploading the video later, because that seems like a good idea at the time). I hope you also have something planned out for your day. I know I plan on getting you some game reviews.
This week we have: Pocket Ops, Envyra, Mysthea, Iquazu, Time Barons, Byzanz, Wonderland: Vast: Fearsome Foes Expansion, Pulsar 2849, and Zoo Ball.
Erin go Bear!
I’m actually half-Irish. My grandfather on my mother’s side was actually an Irish-Catholic cop in Chicago, because stereotypes come from somewhere. So, while you’re out having your corned beef and cabbage (which is more American than Irish, but whatever), let’s also get you some reviews.
Today we have: Quest for El Dorado, Mysthea, Pandemonium, Clank: The Mummy’s Curse, Onitama, Samurai Gardener, Byzanz, Demon Trilogy: Subrosa, Barbarians: The Invasion, Dragon Keepers, The Lost Expedition, and Red7 App.
You ever have one of those days where you wake up, get going with doing things, then look at the clock and are like, “Whoah! It’s already 7pm!! How’d that happen!?!” Yeah, that was my yesterday. I woke the same as any other day except a voice was in my head… Ok, no voices in my head, but I did get started on various things, then realized that goddamn, it was late! So you didn’t get your reviews yesterday. So I’m making up for it by posting them early today. Don’t worry, this won’t become a regular thing.
Anyway, today we have: Elder Sign: Omens of the Pharaoh, Zombicide: Green Horde, Batman: Gotham City Chronicles, Listit, Draconis Invasion, Dice Throne, Palm Island, City of Gears, Stuffed Fables, Pandemic: Rising Tide, V-Commandos: Secret Weapons, Planet of the Apes, Indian Summer, When I Dream, and Gaia Project.
Helloooooooo, Saturday. You know you’re my favorite. I hope the other days of the week get jealous, but you’re just so great. Time to put on some appropriate music and relax… and probably play some games, too. I plan on doing that as well. But, before I go do that, I gotta make sure the people get the gaming reviews I know they so desperately desire.
This week, we have: Go Nuts for Donuts, Loot N Shoot, London, Centipede, Stellium, DropMix, Cursed Court, Einstein, Peptide, Empires: Age of Discovery, Test of Honour Ronin, Photosynthesis, and Fast Forward series (Fear, Fortress, Flee).
It’s back to the daily grind. An extra day off was rather nice. And it’s never a bad time to reflect on where the US was and how far we’ve come, but we still have so far to go. But, in the meantime, gaming. (hey, I don’t like the site being political, so there). Seeing as it’s Tuesday, the work week got a bit of a jump with that day off. So let’s see if we can make this short week feel shorter by listening to gaming podcasts while we go about our daily routines.
This week we have: Game Classy Episode 154: Spoilers; One Board Podcast S1E09: Gotcha Games, Dexterity Mechanic, Junk Art Review; Man Battlestations Podcast Episode 26; Meeples & Miniatures Episode 239: Gaming Review of 2017; Epic Gaming Night Podcast Episode 140: Assembly Required; Rolling Dice & Taking Names Episode 135: Gaia Project, Topiary, Codenames Disney, Passport to Culture; The Cardboard Herald Episode 62: Tristan Hall of Hall or Nothing Productions; Lords of the Dungeon Episode 11: How Long RPG Campaigns Should Last and Dark Earth 1899; SAGA THORSDAY Episode 72: Moors Battleboard and Tactics Pt 2; Blue Peg, Pink Peg Episode 114: Lisboa & 2018 Board Gaming Predictions/Resolutions; The D6 Generation Episode 229: Smirk & Dagger Update and Tech Talk; and The Polyhedron Collider Cast Episode 36: The Games We Are Looking Forward To In 2018.
Saturday and I have all the baking to do. Baking for friends. Baking for coworkers. Baking for friends that are coworkers. Baking for coworkers that are friends.
I mean, I bought 4 pounds of unsalted butter. I’m going to be busy today.
But before I get up to my elbows in cookie dough, I need to type up those review articles I know you all so desperately desire.
Today we have: Arena Rex, Seikatsu, New York Slice, Dragonfire, Sid Meier’s Civilization: A New Dawn, Macroscope, Kingdomino, and 1750: Britain vs. France.
