I used to live in a really tiny town. Just a couple hundred people. It definitely had a different vibe around it than any of the big-city suburbs I've ever lived in. Thankfully, it wasn't an eerie vibe. However, Nowhereville's vibe is definitely eerie. Downright horrific. Have a look at this new horror RPG that's up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
Nowhereville is a horror-themed tabletop roleplaying game set in a town that won't let you leave. Terrible things happen in Nowhereville, perpetrated both by monstrous people and literal monsters. But the townsfolk constantly forget about these things. For some reason, you remember. And you fight back.
The game draws inspiration from the early works of Stephen King, the X-Files, and Twin Peaks.
In Nowhereville, you'll endeavor to stop terrible things, defeat monsters, save lives, and foil plots. And maybe, just maybe, someday you'll get to leave.
The campaign's just up and over its funding goal with 30 days to go.
