He can even turn heroes into fungi, just like him. As such, there’s an extra mini that comes in the set for if/when that happens. You can order yours now.

Ninja Division To Employ Kickstarter Less When Creating Projects

At the GAMA Trade Show, John Cadice talked with ICv2 a bit about Kickstarter and the future of Ninja Division on the crowdfunding platform. John stated that Ninja Division will be pulling back from using Kickstarter to fund large projects. Instead, it will be used on smaller games that are basically completed, except for getting the funding needed to produce them.
Considering the fallout from Palladium recently and Ninja Division’s involvement with that, it doesn’t seem too far-fetched to think the announcement now is related.

Aya and Ranveer Set Now Available For Way of the Fighter

I was always pretty terrible at fighting video games. My button-mashing skills are weak. My board game skills are much better. So, when it comes to fighting video games, I prefer them in board game form, such as Way of the Fighter from Ninja Division. They have a new expansion pack, Aya and Ranveer, available that’ll add two new fighters to your collection.

TGN Review: The Bestiary of Equestria

I’m an unabashed fan of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. I’ve seen all the way through Season 7. I’ve got the movie on Blu-Ray. And I’ve done multiple reviews for the Tails of Equestria products in the past. So, it seems only fitting that I continue on. I recently managed to get a Bestiary of Equestria, a book I’d been eagerly anticipating getting for a while, due to what’s been said to be inside. Did it live up to my expectations?

So, grab your favorite Wonderbolt hat, it’s time for another TGN Review. This time, it’s The Bestiary of Equestria for the Tails of Equestria RPG from River Horse Games.

Palladium Updates Robotech RPG Tactics Shipment Info

Palladium Books and their Robotech RPG Tactics game has been one of the long-drawn-out dramas of the gaming industry for several years now. The game was one of the first really huge successes on Kickstarter. Unfortunately, it’s become also the campaign that’s now looked upon as “the one that really went wrong.” Palladium has posted two updates to the Kickstarter campaign. The long and the short is that Palladium will not be sending out Wave 2 releases. People can substitute Wave 1 items for Wave 2 items, but will need to pay for shipping. Also, Palladium is losing the Robotech license after 30 years.

Way of the Fighter Now Available

If your Valentine’s day didn’t quite turn out like you’d hoped, I still hope it didn’t end up with you squaring off with an opponent, prepping your various martial arts moves in the attempt to knock the other fighter into unconsciousness… unless, of course, that was just you and your significant other playing some Way of the Fighter, which is available now from Ninja Division.

I’ve got friends who have been showing off that they’ve been getting their Kickstarter editions of Way of the Fighter. They’re excited about the old-school fighting game feel right on their tabletop. Way of the Fighter Coming February 14th

Happy Valentine’s Day! *punch in the mouth* *spinning roundhouse kick* *sweep the leg*
Ok, so you’re not generally supposed to fight on Valentine’s Day, but if you’re picking up Way of the Fighter when it’s released, then it’d be a good way to spend a romantic evening (at least, I think so, and if you’re a lady who agrees, call me 😀 😉 … I think I just figured out why I’m single… Wow, this got dark. Let’s get back to talking about the game). Anyway, Way of the Fighter brings the action and excitement of old-school fighting video games right to your tabletop.

Dance of the Fireflies Card Game Available From Ninja Division

I do love a well-tended garden. Honestly, I love going to the Botanical Gardens, hedge mazes, and well laid-out floral arrangement. So games that simulate such certainly have my attention. In Dance of the Fireflies, players are trying to create a beautiful arrangement of flowers by bidding their fireflies on different plant cards. In the end, the player who creates the best garden will win the role of horticulturist for the entire kingdom. You can pick up your copy now.

Starfinder lets you take a rules set you know (Pathfinder, in case you somehow didn’t know) and head out into the stars. Well, while there may be literally thousands of minis out there for your fantasy RPG games, the market is decidedly smaller for sci-fi games. Paizo and Ninja Division are looking to fix that with their Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures Kickstarter, running now.

Photos From Gen Con Day 3

Gen Con this year has been everything I was expecting it to be. Mostly: filled with awesome stuff to see and filled with lots of people! Saturday has always been the busiest day, and yesterday was no exception. And while there was a mildly-noticeable larger crowd, we weren’t all packed in like sardines, for the most part. You could still get around to see all the great booths here at the show. Though taking pictures was sometimes difficult. But take them I did. And here they are for you to see.

Warforged: First Contact Board Game Up On Kickstarter

Warforged: First Contact is a new sci-fi miniatures board game that’s up on Kickstarter now. In it, the human players are looking to infiltrate (well, “blast their way into” more appropriately) into an enemy alien stronghold. Of course, the further in they go, the tougher the aliens they’ll face are. Will they be able to complete their objectives, or will the aliens be able to hold their own and repel the invaders? Only your tactics (and the rolls of the dice) will be able to tell.

TGN Review: Tails of Equestria RPG

Many of my friends have young kids who are just getting to the age where they’ve started to show an interest in gaming. They see mom and dad playing their tabletop games and want to join in. Several of those kids are also huge fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Heck, my niece is obsessed with the show. There’s also plenty of older people out there who enjoy the show (heck, I admit that I’ve watched the whole series), and many of them are gamers. So, it seemed only natural for there to be a My Little Pony RPG. That comes in the form of Tails of Equestria.

The kind folks over at River Horse sent me a copy of the book (they’re true friends, for sure).

Grab your saddlebags and watch out for timberwolves, it’s time for another TGN Review. This time, it’s Tails of Equestria.

Ninja Division and Paizo Announce Starfinder RPG Minis

When you play in an RPG, most of us want to have a miniature to represent our character should one be needed on a map. Well, if you play a fantasy rpg, there’s quite a few pre-painted lines of miniatures you can search through to find one that’s just right. There’s not quite as many pre-painted plastic sci-fi minis you can use. Well, Ninja Division and Paizo are teaming up to rectify that, creating miniatures for the Starfinder RPG.

The weekend is pretty much upon us. We just need to finish up this afternoon and we’ll be there. Do you have plans? I’m still unsure. Though I think I want to make a cheesecake, because it’s been a while since I’ve made cheesecake. Probably make more strawberry-lime sauce to go with it. Or maybe I’ll do raspberry-lime. I don’t know. But there’s still time to think about it. In the meantime, we gotta fill up on some bite-size gaming stories.

On the platter today we have: West Wind Productions Announces Panzer Mech Kickstarter, Ninja Division Announces Relic Knights 2nd Edition Kickstarter, Wiley Games New Home Of Fistful of Lead, New Animal Explorers From RN Estudio, Khurasan releases M1152 with canvas cover, New Releases From Hitech Miniatures, New Release from Kromlech, and Rectangular Bases on Sale From Micro Art Studio.

Tails of Equestria RPG Coming To North America Next Year

Ninja Division Launches Way of the Fighter Kickstarter

Back in the day, my friend got Street Fighter II. We would play the hell out of it… even though I was horrible at it. I think I won 1 fight out of 100. I just wasn’t good at that type of game. However, with something like Way of the Fighter, a new game by Ninja Division that’s up on Kickstarter now, I feel my fortunes would be a bit better.
