Micro Art Studio

We're continuing our trek through the work week. Actually, in a way, for me it's sort of like a Friday. I say "sort of" because I'm gonna be working from home tomorrow a bit, but I actually have the day off. Don't worry, though. I'll still be bringing you some stories. But yeah, gottta get some stuff prepped for the weekend. What am I going to be doing? Well, going to a binge watching party for the new season of MST3K that's coming out.
But that's for later. As for now, it's time to make sure your gaming tables look as good as possible.

Amazing what a difference a week makes. Last week, I was lamenting how long it was all taking. This morning, I woke up and was like, "Whoah... it's already Wednesday!" That certainly works for me. Faster to get to the weekend, the better. But if we're going to be going along at this break-neck pace, we should stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Lion Tower Miniatures Launch First Kickstarter, New Statuesque Asylum and Starport figures and a new Statuesque Female Head size, Battlefront Releases Range Finder For Flames of War, Exiles of the Tetsu Clan Miniatures Up On Kickstarter, New ellipse bases from Micro Art Studio, New Norman Kite Shields Available From Tabletop-art, Fenris Games - Rise of the Draugr Up On Kickstarter, Battlefront Releases New Destroyed Markers For Flames of War, Broken Egg Games are coming to Europe, New Quad Mortar Platform Available From Kromlech, Acheson Creations and Evil Bob’s at Cold Wars March 17-19, New Desert Mission Token Set From Battlefront, Ouroboros Miniatures presents: Fey- The Celestial, and Atlantis Miniatures Launches 28mm Dwarf Minis Kickstarter.

The middle of the week and the start of a new month. 2017 is already 1/12 in the books. January sure did go by quick (at least for me). Before you know it, we'll be announcing Black Friday sales. Ok, maybe that's a bit much. Plenty of things to do between now and then. And if we want to keep up our strength, we should nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Mighty Meeples: Ghostbusters Collection Released by Cryptozoic; 4th Edition Preview Flames of War Preview: New Paint Sets, Spray Cans, Token Sets and Gaming Aids; Eye for an Eye: Arena Coming To Kickstarter; Acheson Creations announces two "Big Events" for February 2017; Numenera Audio Collection from Plate Mail Games; The Dragon Tray Up On Kickstarter; Aenor Miniatures Releases New Zombie Survivor; New Line of SCI-FI Miniatures by RBJ Game Company; Dice Base: Master GM Screen Up On Kickstarter; Black Earth tabletop wargame coming on IndieGoGo in February; F'aa'thum, Greater Stygian Wardemon of Fate Available From Kromlech; Baueda New DBA 3.0 Norse Irish Army Pack is Now Available; Elder Dice Coming to Kickstarter; and New Circular Ruler From Micro Art Studio.

The weekend is pretty much upon us. We just need to finish up this afternoon and we'll be there. Do you have plans? I'm still unsure. Though I think I want to make a cheesecake, because it's been a while since I've made cheesecake. Probably make more strawberry-lime sauce to go with it. Or maybe I'll do raspberry-lime. I don't know. But there's still time to think about it. In the meantime, we gotta fill up on some bite-size gaming stories.

On the platter today we have: West Wind Productions Announces Panzer Mech Kickstarter, Ninja Division Announces Relic Knights 2nd Edition Kickstarter, Wiley Games New Home Of Fistful of Lead, New Animal Explorers From RN Estudio, Khurasan releases M1152 with canvas cover, New Releases From Hitech Miniatures, New Release from Kromlech, and Rectangular Bases on Sale From Micro Art Studio.

Friiiiiiiidaaaaaaay!
Woo! We've made it, everyone! At least for me, it was a nice, calm, "standard" week. As a creature of habit, I'm very grateful for that. Many of us here in the US are also getting a 3-day weekend, what with Martin Luther King Jr. Day being this upcoming Monday. So that's cool. I hope you have some cool weekend activities planned and that today being Friday the 13th doesn't mean anything bad for you. But as we go into the weekend, we should stock up on bite-sized gaming stories.

Today we have: New Ruler Designs From Kromlech, Cryptozoic Releases Mighty Meeples: DC Justice League Collection Tin, New Aufklarungs Passenger trays from Dark Art Miniatures, New Warbikes and Trikes from Raging Heroes, Rebel Minis Releases New 28mm Sci-Fi Packs, Cardstock Warriors Site is Live, Weekend Promo from Kromlech, and New Bases Available From Micro Art Studio.

Hey everyone.
Well, the first week of the year is coming to a close. It's been... an odd one. Monday I had off. Tuesday I had to take my car in for repairs (which got finished up on Thursday, since they had to order in a part). Wednesday and Thursday I had some stomach issues. Now it's Friday and everyone here in Atlanta is bracing for a "huge snowstorm" that's on its way. Hopefully it's not too bad and everyone out there stays safe.
But just as everyone is stocking up on bread and milk, let's stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories, as well as some terrain pieces from this week.

As such, we have: Flat Plastic Miniatures 2 Up On Kickstarter, New Sleeves Unlocked in Mage Company Kickstarter, New Metalized Discworld Death Bust From Micro Art Studio, New Magnetic Foil Sets Available From Tabletop-Art, Avatars of War Having Plastic Harpies Sale This Week, Brigade Models 6mm Habitation Dome Released, Heer46 launches Gebirgsjaeger Kickstarter, Molecules of Hatred: Wulfrim Irongrudge Available, and Acheson Releases More Dungeon Worlds Part 2 Figures.

Hey guys. You might've noticed we didn't have a Terrain Corner yesterday. That's because I was whisked away to help work on a super-ultra-deep-covert project. Or, being that a lot of companies are currently on holiday, there wasn't much to report on. One of the two. Anyway, so today we've got a combined Terrain Corner/Friday Snippets for you.

Today we have: Coffin Set 1 Available From Tabletop-Art, Dust Town Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargames, MAGE Company launches on Kickstarter the MCG Premium Sleeves, and New Infinity dedicated 70mm Tech Round base From Micro Art Studio.

Today's a day to celebrate. Why? It's my 5th anniversary with TGN. Yes, on this day, 5 years ago, I made my first post on the site. It was the new plastic Warp Wolf kit that Privateer Press was coming out with. Oh how gaming has changed since then. I remember having a conversation, a couple months into my tenure, with Ross "The Legend" Thompson (my boss at the time) about, "These Kickstarter-things."
So, to celebrate, let's have a bunch of bite-sized gaming stories.
What? We do that every Wednesday? Well, fine, be that way.

Today we have: Dice Coins 2 Up On Kickstarter, I Will Never Grow Up becomes exclusive distributor of Field Marshal Games products, Ramshackle Games Posts Stretch Goal Goblin For Jet Bike Kickstarter, New Discworld Death Bust -15% discount, Factions Fantasy Playing Cards Coming To Kickstarter in January, New Releases Available From Scotia Grendel, Casual Game Revolution Posts 2017 Tabletop Gaming Conventions Map, Mage Company To Launch Sleeves and Gaming Accessories Kickstarter, Kill the Unicorns Coming to Kickstarter in June, New Morbid Legionary Torsos From Kromlech, Temple of Isis Round Lip Bases Now Available From Tabletop-Art, New Releases And Final Christmas Sale From Advanced Deployment, Flatminis 2D preprinted miniatures are now available as PDF download, Two new Characters bring gold to Talisman: Digital Edition, and Khurasan releases 15mm Hezbollah and Syrian Government Forces.

Well, the weekend is over. Mine didn't quite turn out like I'd hoped. Didn't get a chance to do any gaming, but did have a chance to do some cooking. This year's fruitcake is a success, I'd say. Just need to get more people to give it a try.
But anyway, let's get straight over to making your gaming tables look as good as possible.

Today we have: Two New Star Wars Play Mats Available From Fantasy Flight Games,City Ruins Map Available From Pwork Wargame, Heroic Maps - Flottederoi Frozen Harbour Now Available, and More battlefield terrain at Micro Art Studio store.

So the middle of yesterday sort of dragged along, but overall the week is still going by in a flash (for me, at least). Hopefully you have weekend plans like I do. We're going to be having a build party for my friend's original Kingdom Death set. Though, really, I'm gonna be trying to get people to play Guild Ball, instead, since I didn't get a chance last week like I was gonna have. :P

But in the meantime, we need to make your gaming tables look as good as possible.

In the Terrain Corner today we have: Frontline Games 20% OFF Holiday Sale Plus Special Deals, Dungeon Worlds Part 3 Kickstarter Stretch Goal #2 Posted, New Micro Art Studio battlefield terrain, Deep-Cut Studio releases a new game mat for Dropzone Commander, GAMEIN5D Foldable Game Board On Kickstarter, Deadland: Pwork Wargames Gaming Mat Now Available, Final Hours For Exotic Locations Indiegogo Campaign, Heroic Maps Whitlark Forest Trading Post Now Available, and New Tyranid Hive Planet Mat From Warzone Studio.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Or, for those of you not in the US. Happy Wednesday!
As for me, I'm going to be busy when I get home. I need to bake another pumpkin pie, put turkey 1 into the brine bucket, speed-thaw turkey 2 (place in cold, running water for a couple hours), and make whipped cream for the pies (cream, sugar, and spices). Gonna be very busy, but should be fun. But to have enough energy for that, I need to nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today we have: New Infinity Dice Sets From Corvus Belli, New Bases Available From Micro Art Studio, BattleScribe 2.0 Released, Dungeonland PnP is now available and Kickstarter Stretch Goals are revealed, New Alien Heads From Ramshackle Games, Okumarts Games team up with GG Studios, New Releases Available From Dark Sword Miniatures, Divine Art Playing Cards up On Kickstarter, Comrades in Battle Stretch Goal Levels Lowered, Head set Multi Pack From Ramshackle Games, NPC For Hire Game Aid On Kickstarter, New Temple of Isis Bases From Tabletop-Art, Fusion Bases by Wamp Up On Kickstarter, Highway System Coming to Kickstarter, New Female Greatcoat Troops Available From Victoria Miniatures, and New Hordes Token Sets Available From Advanced Deployment.

The first couple days went by slowly, but since then, at least for me, the week's felt like it's picked up steam and we're rushing our way towards the weekend. I know I could use some relaxation time, and I just lined up a day of gaming on Saturday. So that should be good. Hopefully you've got plans along those same lines. And if you do, you'll want your gaming table looking good. And that's what we're here to help with now.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Premium Mats From WizKids, 4 new 1:72 Normandy Houses From Najewitz Modellbau, New Market Terrain From Micro Art Studio, New Samhain Gates From Valquiria Studio, and Woodland: Pwork Wargames Fantasy Gaming Mat Now Available.

We've been waiting for this all week. Or, at least, I have been. It's Friday! Woo!
Tomorrow, for me, looks like it's going to be filled with some cooking, because it's some for some Halloween goodies to be made. I'm sure a lot of you have Halloween-related plans scheduled. Halloween's all about getting bite-sized treats, so let's do just that with some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Forge of Ice Sleazy Merchant & Sleepy Sentries on Kickstarter, Brother Vinni Releases Veteran Chaingunner, New Releases And Sale At TinMan Miniatures, Spooky Bases Halloween Sale Going On At Micro Art Studios, and Free Halloween Pack and Weekend Sale on ePic Character Generator.

We're reaching the peak. After this, it's a slide back down to the weekend. I'm hoping to have some friends over for gaming and cooking, as well as basically a "mini-Halloween" party (my apartment's not really that big. Hard to have more than 4-5 people over :P ). There will be Cryx Necrotite Sugar Cookies, Atomic Peanut Butter Balls, and a bubbling cauldron of gumbo.
But that's as may be. Right now, we've got a bunch of bite-size gaming stories to give you.

On the platter today we have: Zucati Dice: Retro Classic Pure Aluminum Dice On Kickstarter, Totentanz Miniatures to Make Corvus Belli's 15mm Historical Miniatures Range, Purgatory Shows off 2 freshly completed models for the Kickstarter, New Swan Faction Tokens from Advanced Deployment Now Available, Ramshackle Abomination and Robot Sale, Armorcast LLC announces the Fifth Cinematic Effects Modeling Contest, Last Days To Enter Tercio Creativo's Wipley Drawing, New Releases Available From Micro Art Studio, Ouroboros Miniatures' First Release Now Available, 5-Minute Dungeon Coming to Kickstarter Next Week, and Era: The Consortium - A Universe of Expansions Kickstarter in the last week.

As we roll along, the weekend grows ever-closer. As I mentioned, I've got a full day of gaming scheduled for Saturday. That'll include some games that use various bits of terrain on a game mat. You want your games to look good, right? I know I do. So let's see what we can do to make your games look good.

In our Terrain Corner today we have: Deep-Cut Studio releases dedicated game mat for Roots of Magic, New Terrain Pieces Available From Micro Art Studio, and Badlands: Pwork Wargames Fantasy Gaming Mat Now Available.

Steam. It's one of the most important resources on the planet for human civilization. Just think of all the things its done for us (and continues to do, considering anything that runs on nuclear power technically runs on steam). It's even created some great miniatures games! Well, it's been the basis for miniatures games, anyway. Wolsung Steampunk Skirmish Game from Micro Art Studios is one of those, and they've got some new releases available.
Discuss
We seem to be in a year of new editions. Nothing wrong with that, mind you. We recently got a new edition of the Wolsung Steampunk Skirmish Game from Micro Art Studio. Now they've got a new batch of figures available over in their webshop to go along with it.

It's nearly impossible to hit perfection the first time you do something. Sure, it sometimes happens, but for the vast majority of the time, you get pretty close, but you still need to work at it. Well, the folks over at Micro Art Studio didn't quite feel they hit perfection with their first version of Wolsung, the Steampunk skirmish game, and so they've revised it and come out with another.

The week rolls along, picking up speed as we head down from Wednesday's "hump day" through Thursday. It's been a busy one around here. Lots of stuff going on for the conventions coming up (some next week, some at the end of the month). Lots of prep work to be done between now and then. Hopefully with some gaming in there somewhere. I've got a hobby project I'm going to be working on this weekend. What do you guys have planned?

Today, of course, we have another Terrain Corner feature.

In this installment, we have: Terminus Segments Kickstarter Final Days, Manorhouse Workshop Update #16 – Let’s make the 3D Bases suffer a bit, Battlemap Layers passed 80% Funding with 15 Days to Go, Lands of Mars: Pwork Wargames science fiction gaming mat now available, and Lots of new temple models from Infinity-Engine.

Well, we're back once more to Monday. The weekend is gone and we can only bask in the memories. I hope yours was good. Mine was certainly productive. Got a lot of stuff done around the apartment, as well as putting together all those Guild Ball models. But that's all done. Now it's back in the office. But it's alright, there will be another weekend. In the meantime, we gotta make sure our gaming tables look the best.

Today's Terrain Corner articles include: New Mid February Armorcast Terrain Products, Micro Art Studios Infinity Terminus Segments Up On Kickstarter, Pwork Wargames releases fantasy gaming mat: Arid Plain, and New Releases Available from Eslo Terrain.

It's time once again for Friday. Now, normally, the week after a "short week" (such as last week) feels like they take forever. At least, to me they do. That's why if given my druthers, I'd have a Monday off rather than a Friday. You get a long weekend and then a short week, as opposed to a short week, long weekend, then a regular week. But that's me. Anyway, I'm happy to say that this week feels like it's just flown by. Here we are already ready for a weekend. And baking fruitcake will be my reward.

But before we can get there, we have some business to attend to, such as a group of bite-sized stories we've collected over the past couple days. What sort of stories?

Ones like these: New Releases Available for Wolsung SSG from Micro Art Studio, Khurasan pre-release deal for 15mm late Cold War armour, Shark Day Miniature Available From Wonderlands Project, Krampus for Kaiju Kaos: The Miniatures Game Released, New releases for By Fire and Sword, Coming Soon - The Prometheans from Nexus Miniatures, Kromlech Legionary Thunder Gun with under-barrel Plasma Gun Now Available, Slavic Fantasy Miniatures Kickstarter by Deraj Studios has Launched, WH40k: Tactical Objectives App Release Date Announced, Post Captain Squadron Action Scenarios Posted, Bombshell Babes 2 on Preorder from Bombshell Miniatures, and Alexander Nevsky ready for Forgestarter campaign.

To think that just a week ago, at this point I was just hanging out, playing some Ascension, thinking about getting that first turkey in the oven. Sorry if it seems I keep going on and on about it, but it really was a great Thanksgiving, and it is my favorite holiday of the entire year. This year's proved why. Good friends. Good gaming. Good food. Lots to be thankful for. That includes, of course, good terrain.
Because transitions!

Anyway, in today's terrain corner we have: Heroic Maps Modular Kit: Town Shops 1 & 2 released, New Infinity Warehouse Table Set available from Micro Art Studio, and Flexible 15mm River & Road system Released by Novus Design Studio.
