Fridaaaaaaaaaaay! Woooooooo!
*Friday dance*
And I've got D&D coming up tomorrow. So I'm all the excite. I hope you've got some gaming going on as well. But whatever you're doing, you don't want your blood gaming levels to drop too low. So let's snack on some bite-sized gaming stories to fill up.

Today on the platter we have: Orc Vehicles Exhaust Pipes Available From Kromlech, Acheson Creations' Next Round of Viking Kickstarter Products Now Available, and Magic Description Cards Kickstarter Launches Today.

Medieval Japan is full of badass warrior women in the form of the Onna-bugeisha. And they're hitting the battlefields in Test of Honour. Warlord Games is taking orders for the Onna-bugeisha of Asakura set. If you want to add to it, they also have separate sets of the different components you can get.
Is is their tradition on Fridays, Warlord Games has opened the flood gates and has a whole new flood of figures available. This time around, we've got new German units for Konflikt '47, several new American releases for Bolt Action (including new bundles), and a new mounted unit for Pike & Shotte. Let's take a deeper look.
In Japan, it wasn't just the men who could train in martial arts and learn the Samurai ways. Women were able to do that as well, and many noblewomen did just that. They were called the Onna-Bugeisha, and if you'd like to add these kick-ass warrior women to your Test of Honour collections, you can put your name down on Warlord Game's list so they arrive as soon as possible.
Fridaaaaaaaaay!
3-day weekend Fridaaaaaaaaay!
There's few Fridays better during the year than a 3-day weekend Friday. I mean, I know what I've got planned. A friend and I are going out to an LGS tonight to pick up some Guild Ball stuff. Tomorrow, I'll put it all together, and Sunday, we're gonna BBQ and play some games. I mean, what more could you want? Maybe a plate of bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Final Days for Kraken Dice Kickstarter, Ancient Machinery Bases Bundles Now Available From Tabletop-Art, and New Arabian Archers From Brother Vinni.

As usual for Warlord Games, they've got a whole slew of new things to order for their various games. If you're a fan of Bolt Action, Konflikt '47, Pike & Shotte, or Test of Honour, you'll want to see what's new on the shelves. Konflikt '47 has the lion's share, but there's a little bit of everything.
There's a whole bunch of new things either available or coming soon from Warlord Games. They've got a new faction coming for Beyond the Gates of Antares in the form of the Virai, along with a new starter set for the Ghar. Then, over in Bolt Action, the US forces have a new Heavy Mortar Team and Jeep. Finally, the Landsknects are the focus for a trio of releases for Pike & Shotte. Have yourself a look.
Warlord Games takes us back to the mythical time of King Arthur with another batch of releases for Hail Caesar. These new sets help you fill out your forces, with various unarmoured Saxons, as well as Royal Anglican Huscarls. So whether you want just your common soldier, or some with well-main chain and better weapons, they've got you covered.
Warlord Games is coming out with a new supplement for Hail Caesar. It's called Shield Wall and it takes us to the northern climes, where Vikings and Saxons fought over resources, engaged in bloody battles. Warlord has put together several starter bundles for both Vikings and Saxons, so you can get everything for a new force all in one go. Pre-orders are being taken now.
West Wind Productions is looking to expand their War & Empire line with their next set, giving you lots of new Dark Age figures. If you're looking to miniaturize your historical gaming, you'll want to check out all the various sets that are available as part of the campaign. They cover a little bit of everything, covering several different cultural groups.
A couple of different time periods on display here in Hail Caesar today. Starting off, there's a new supplement book, Shield Wall, which covers the Dark Ages. As with all Warlord Games books, if you order direct from them, you get an exclusive figure. They've also got a huge set where you can get the book, a couple starter armies, and a bunch of accessories in one go. Then, they hit the Wayback Machine to the land of Greece with the Theban Sacred Band (for if you think that all the gear the Vikings are wearing into battle is just too much).
Most of the time, the figures from Brother Vinni are system-agnostic. But, in this case, they're for SAGA, the dark ages game of combat and might. They have released a new set of 4 Axemaidens. And I'm guessing they're not just waving those axes because their Viking husbands forgot to take out the trash again.
Warlord Games has a whole slew of new releases for Hail Caesar over in their webshop. They've got new minis, as well as whole new sets of accessories for you to check out.
Also, please feel free to comment with all your favorite Monty Python and the Holy Grail jokes below. We know you want to.
Even though ninjas never really wrapped themselves in black like we see in pop culture (that was a kabuki theater thing. Ninjas dressed like everyone else so they didn't stand out), it's still fun to have ninja figures running around on our battlefields in their iconic look. Well, if you're a Test of Honour player, you can grab a bunch of different ninja sets for the game. There's a big set, a blister, and the Dojo Assault bundle.
There's quite a lot of you out there with Saxon blood in your veins. Now, there can be quite a lot of you with Saxon minis out on your gaming tabletop (and, depending on how careful with your craft knife while cleaning and assembling the figures, you might have your Saxon blood out there as well..). Warlord Games has released some new Saxon Huscarls, as well as various new Saxon Leader sets. Ah yes, back when you could name your kid Leofric and nobody would bat an eyelash.
Warlord Games has a trio of new Saxon units that you can order over in their webshop. One's a set of Huscarls with Dane axes. The other two are Ceorls. So if you want axes to chop your opponents up or shortspears to stab them with, you've got your options open to add to your Hail Caesar warbands.
I'm not sure how easy it would be to control an entire army where everyone is named Norman. I mean, you'd get into, "Hey! Norman! ... No... the other Norman! ... No, the other-other Norman!" ... It'd soon turn into a Monty Python skit. Thankfully, the Normans weren't actually all named Norman. I just wanted to make a terrible joke. Either way, there's new Archers, Cavalry, and Heavy Infantry kits available to order from Warlord Games for Hail Caesar.
Over the past week or two, I've been watching through my collection of Terry Gilliam movies. He is, easily, my favorite director, and his commentary tracks are always awesome. As such, it was just a couple days ago I saw, "Listen you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left!" "Yes I have!"
Well, if you head to Warlord Games' 10th Anniversary celebration, you can pick up this figure and say that line over and over to your friends at the gaming shop (as if it's not already said an average of 2.5 times per day at your shop, anyway).
In any society, there's going to be those who don't want to follow society's rules and would rather just forge their own path. This often means taking from others, leading to a rough life of banditry. Certainly, there were those types in feudal Japan, and Warlord Games is letting you control your own outlaw group with their Bandits and Brigands sets for Test of Honour.
Friday is here! Gateway to the weekend that it is, I hope you've all got some sort of plans for gaming over the next couple days. I'm certainly hoping to get some dice-rolling on tomorrow (as well as possibly check out this new West African restaurant I found out about). But before we get to that, we should have an appetizer of bite-sized gaming stories.

On the platter today we have: New Kopta Kan Available From Kromlech, Khurasan releases more later 14th century sets, Surreal Dice Tower Up On Kickstarter, and New Chaos Legionary Banners From Kromlech.

We have made it to the weekend. Well, almost, anyway. Just gotta finish up today and we'll get there. It'll be fine. But to make sure we can get to the cool stuff of the weekend, we should stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Last Sword Miniatures' Reichguard Knights Now Available, Light Fleet Dice Case Up On Kickstarter, Sledgehammer BFG Now Available From Victoria Miniatures, New EuroFed Spaceships Available From Brigade Models, and Khurasan Releases 15mm Federal Army Experimental Battalion.

Warlord Games is bringing a new faction, as well as some new cavalry options to Test of Honour, their new far-Eastern miniatures skirmish game. The new faction is Ch?bei’s Renegades. They're based on a real figure from Feudal Japan. Ch?bei is seen as a Robin Hood type of character, who would protect the peasants from bandits and wandering samurai who might wish to do them harm. The other new unit is the Daimy?’s Retinue, which gives new options for cavalry in the game. Rounding things off, to help keep everything straight, there's new sets of tokens, as well as some scenery pieces.
Acheson Creations is looking to bring you a new miniatures skirmish game. They've launched a Kickstarter campaign for Vikings: Great Hall Burning which brings in some all-new terrain, as well as figures commissioned by Company D Miniatures, and rules by Two Hour Wargames. It's like a Justice League of a miniatures project.
One thing about Historical games is that you often get to play characters that were actual people and had actual lives. ... I guess it's a bit different if you play a young version of them and they get killed off in a fight... Ah well, that's half the fun. Anyway, Warlord Games is expanding their Pike & Shotte line with some new Landsknecht units and a couple characters to lead them into battle.
Well, this has been quite a week. Monday had the site down for reasons that are still not 100% identified (it blipped again a little earlier today, but was once more fixed by our outstanding IT guy, Lucas). Tuesday was busy playing catch-up. Plus, there's been article-writing and such behind-the-scenes for other stuff around here. Just a busy week. I know I could use some extra energy. And I think a bunch of bite-size gaming stories can do that very thing.

Today on the platter we have: Khurasan starts 15mm Late 14th Century Range, Acheson adds 28mm Gorillas, Love Formula Coming To Kickstarter This Month, Game Master Digital GM Tools Up On Kickstarter, New Quickshade Washes Available To Order From The Army Painter, Killbox Games New Releases and Kickstarter News, Khurasan releases new 15mm undead/evil wizard sets, English Version of Master of the Galaxy Coming to Kickstarter, The Component Collector Up On Kickstarter, and New Dvergr Commandos Available From Kromlech.
