Manorhouse Workshop

Already into June (more than a day's worth, even). We're just burning our way through the year. And "burning" is the right term, considering temperatures in the US, at least, this week. Oof. It's a good time to stay inside in the AC and get some gaming on. And if you're gaming, you're going to need a gaming table. And if you're going to need a gaming table, it might as well look as good as possible. That's what we're here to help with today.

Our Terrain Corner today has: Dicey Ventures Elemental Village Kickstarter Launches, Tabletop World has released the new Town Walls, Badlands: Pwork Wargames Fantasy Gaming Mat Now Available, New Resin Terrain from Skull Forge Scenics: Graveyard Wall Sets, and Manorhouse Workshop Update #33 – Some expensive fuel.

Welcome back to Monday. I know a lot of you are probably reading this not at your regular work desk. Along those lines, a happy Memorial Day to you.

At the moment, it's a good time to get your gaming tables looking as good as possible. That's right, we've got our Terrain Corner.

This time we've got: 3D Printable Vauban Style Fortress Kickstarter from Laser Dream Works, TerraForms Terrain Kickstarter is live, Manorhouse Workshop Update # 32 – A dream come true, Dicey Ventures Studios Announces Elemental Village Kickstarter, and Dark London: Pwork Wargames fantasy gaming mat Now Available.

Don't get too excited, but the weekend's only a couple days away (well, a day and a half). What gaming do you have planned? My D&D group is getting together for the first time in... oh... 6-7 months. Then, afterward (we tend to break up fairly early) I might be playing some Guild Ball.

In the meantime, though, let's get your gaming tables looking as good as possible.

Today in our Terrain Corner we have: Tablewar To Make Official Privateer Press Game Mats, Manorhouse Workshop Update # 31 – Sneak Peek – Abbey in ruins refinished with grass and bushes, Deep-Cut Studio releases gaming mats on magnet sheets, and Combat Plaza: Pwork Wargames science fiction gaming mat now available.

Steady-on, folks. The weekend is getting ever-closer. I'm still working on recovering from the plague that I apparently caught last weekend. Here's to hoping that it clears up more by the time this weekend shows up. In the meantime, we've gotta talk about making your gaming tables look as good as possible.

In our Terrain Corner today we have: Manorhouse Workshop Update #29 – 3 Bases that complete the 3D Bases project, Manorhouse Workshop Update #30 – Test for the new Add-ons Packs for the 3D Bases, The Deadland: Pwork Wargames fantasy gaming mat now available, Sea Dog Game Studios releases 2 New Ship Kits, Novus Design New Finished Fountains 15mm & 28mm, Operation Alpha: Pwork Wargames science fiction gaming mat now available, and New Rune Stone Sets Available From Tabletop-Art.

*coughcough*
Ugh... Yesterday I woke up with a slightly scratch throat. Unfortunately, as the day wore on, it got worse and worse. As such, I'm typing this from home, as opposed to the office. That way, I'm not "Patient 0" in an office-wide epidemic.

But that doesn't mean I can't bring you some stories to help make your gaming table look as good as possible.

So in today's Terrain Corner we have: Manorhouse Workshop Update #28 – 3 new 3D Bases, Frontline Games Releases Stones Master Builder Set Dungeon Tiles, Brigade Models Release New 15mm Research Base Unit, and Mats by Mars: Mechanica Tabletop Wargaming Play Mat Now Available.

The weekend rapidly approaches. With any luck, you've got gaming on-deck for those wonderful days. I know I've got some lined up. If you do, you'll want your gaming tables to look as good as possible. And we're here to help with our Terrain Corner.

Today we have: Valquiria Studio Now Shipping to Europe, Manorhouse Workshop Update #27 – Important news for the “3D Bases” Kickstarter, Runic Forge Handcrafted Terrain up on Kickstarter, RPG Battlegrid: Pwork Wargames RPG support material now Available, and Final Hours For THMiniatures Kickstarter Campaign.

I hope your Monday is starting off alright. Mine is starting off with a lot of visitors to the office. Much of the Brazil crew is in town for the Expo later this week. And I got a gift. They brought me some special flour so I can make a traditional Brazilian dish. So my cooking game is going to be kicked up a notch. Just as your hobby game can be kicked up a notch with some new terrain. So let's get to it.

Today we have: New Dark Age Huts From Escenografia Epsilon, Brigade Models Release 2mm Scale Warehouses, Pwork Wargames Space Nebula Mat Now Available, and Manorhouse Workshop Update #26 – The first copies of the ruined abbey.

Well, Thursday is here. I know a lot of people are on their way to Boston for PAX East this weekend. I'm not. But for those that are, here's some travel music for you. I hope you all find your wooden legs.
Meanwhile, the rest of us will try and make our gaming tables look as good as they can via the Terrain Corner.

Today we have: Manorhouse Workshop Update #22 – Tough life for our 3D Bases, New Ruined City Bundle from Demo's Laser-Cut Designs, 15mm MG nests and log dug-in markers released by Dark Art Miniatures, Pwork Woodland - Mousepad Wargame Mat Now Available, and Tabletop-Art Previews New Rune Stones.

The work week continues. We've made it over the middle and are working our way back towards the glorious, glorious weekend! Mine's going to be filled with prepping various articles for the next couple weeks. Lots of photos to take of models in various states of assembly. Fun stuff like that.

But in the meantime, we've gotta make sure your gaming tables look as good as they possibly can.

Today's Terrain Corner stories are: Deep-Cut Studio releases new Beach design gaming mat, Manorhouse Workshop Update #21 – 3D Bases – Kickstarter Preview, Lasercutcard: Infinity Table Deal, Things from the Basement Releases Frosty Line Of Terrain, and Frosty Ruins by Urban Construct at Salute.

Man, already to Thursday. I guess traveling on Monday, then working from home on Tuesday will do that to you.
But Thursday it is and that means it's time for another Terrain Corner. Got two stories for you today, so let's get to them.

Warland: Pwork Wargames fantasy gaming mat and Manorhouse Workshop Update #20 – 3D Bases – Kickstarter Launch Video

Seeing as yesterday I was awake but my brain was 99% asleep in "post-con mode" from such a full weekend and then an incredibly long drive back home, I took it a bit easy. But that obviously means I missed yesterday's Terrain Corner. Well, I wouldn't want to deny you all the chance to spruce up your gaming tables. I also wouldn't want to miss today's Podcast Roundup, either. So I've combined them into the Podcast Corner for today.

Terrain Stories: Manorhouse Workshop Update #18 – Rough Terrain & Cliffs, New Vulcan-6 Terrain Mat from Warzone40k + coupon code, Woodland: Pwork Wargames fantasy gaming mat, New 28mm Frosted ruins and library Terrain From Urban Construct, New Fighter E Type Blast pen From Amera Plastic Mouldings, and Heroic Maps release - Fort Crabclaw.

Podcasts: Geeks of the North Episode 27 – Guild Ball, News of the North – 2016-04-05, Ice Cream For Everyone Ep 19: Luke Crane, Blue Peg, Pink Peg Episode 70- Mombasa and Buonocore Hot Seat, Epic Gaming Night Podcast Ep 49 Golden Geeks, and Polyhedron Collider Cast Episode 3: Blokus, Portal, TIME Stories, D&D and Miniatures in Board Games.

I hope everyone's getting by alright, what with the time change and all. Hopefully you got to your office on time and weren't an hour late. I got here on time this morning. So it's all good.

As usual for Monday, we've got a Terrain Corner, letting you know what sort of terrain products are now available.

Today we have: Brigade Models Release 15mm Moonbase Sphere, Manorhouse Workshop Update #17 – A steady base, New Heroic Maps releases - Acid Swamp & Acid Swamp Ruins, Urban Sector: Pwork Wargames science fiction gaming mat, and Miniature Building Authority Castle Sale Happening Now.

The week rolls along, picking up speed as we head down from Wednesday's "hump day" through Thursday. It's been a busy one around here. Lots of stuff going on for the conventions coming up (some next week, some at the end of the month). Lots of prep work to be done between now and then. Hopefully with some gaming in there somewhere. I've got a hobby project I'm going to be working on this weekend. What do you guys have planned?

Today, of course, we have another Terrain Corner feature.

In this installment, we have: Terminus Segments Kickstarter Final Days, Manorhouse Workshop Update #16 – Let’s make the 3D Bases suffer a bit, Battlemap Layers passed 80% Funding with 15 Days to Go, Lands of Mars: Pwork Wargames science fiction gaming mat now available, and Lots of new temple models from Infinity-Engine.

The end is in sight, people! Just another day and a half and we'll be into "weekend territory" (which, to me at least, starts on Friday evening). We can do it. We've come too far to give up now. Just think of all the great gaming that can be had! And if you're gonna have great gaming, you should have great gaming tables. Good thing our Terrain Corner is here to help.

Today we have: Brigade Models Release 15mm SF Research Base, Roman Marching Fort from Kobblestone Miniatures Now Available, Manorhouse Workshop Update #15 – The Lich of the Abbey, Frosty Plain: Pwork Wargames fantasy gaming mat, Battlemap Layers near 60% of Funding Goal, Dungeon Worlds Part 2 Success! – Part 3 Coming Summer 2016, and Deep-Cut Studio releases new Grass theme gaming mat.

I hope everyone's Monday is going well and nobody has "a case of the Mondays." One way to beat the Monday Blues is to talk about gaming (or so I've found, anyway). All the stories of what happened over the weekend, recounting epic adventures, or fantasy sports matches, or wizard battles can help keep those blues at bay. (Lost my game of Warmachine, won a game of Ascension, and was ahead when time was called in Guild Ball) And where there's gaming, there's usually terrain. Let's get into it with our Terrain Corner spot.

Today we have: New Dwarven Forge Kickstarter Coming March 6th, Sea of Flames Added to Dungeon Worlds Kickstarter, Manorhouse Workshop Update #14 – The Abbey of the Living Dead, and Dark Swamp: Pwork Wargames fantasy gaming mat Now Available.

We're working our way there, everyone. We've made it to Thursday. Just the rest of today and then Friday and we'll be set for the weekend. Mine's looking like it'll be full of teaching someone Warmachine and then actually getting Guild Ball out on the table and playing. Both of those games need some terrain to really mix things up. I mean, sure, you could play them on flat, open boards, but where's the fun in that? Thankfully, there's terrain options. And we've got some more options available with this Terrain Corner.

Today's articles include: Battlemap Layers Up On Kickstarter, Victorian Steampunk Modular Tabletop Terrain On Kickstarter, Warsenal releases Cosmica Wave Two for Infinity, Pwork Releases Darkburg Fantasy Gaming Mat, Manorhouse Workshop Update #13 – Inside the ruins, and Acheson’s Dungeon Worlds KickStarter Releases New Products.

Thursday already? I guess a couple crazy days in the middle of the week will make it go by rather quickly. I do sort of hope today and tomorrow just go by without major incident, though, even though it does tend to make time go by fast. Instead, if we can just have a nice, calm, manageable Thursday and Friday, I'd be very appreciative.

And I bet you guys would be appreciative of a Terrain Corner segment. So let's do that.

Today we have: Manorhouse Workshop Update #10 – 3D Bases – Modular Terrain, TabletopGamerStore.com Releases 28mm Scarred City Battle Ruined Buildings, LaserCutCard: Futurehab #3 Building Now Available, and Pwork Wargames fantasy gaming mat: Badlands Now Available.

We're getting there, kids. Slowly but surely. The weekend is getting closer.
It was looking like today might've had a chance at being a snow day here in Atlanta, but such was not the case. So at least here, we're not stuck inside. For those of you further north that are stuck inside, why not get out some minis and play a game? And if you're going to be doing that, you'll want your table to look nice. Well, that's where the Terrain Corner comes in.

Today's stories include: New Orc Terrain Deal From LaserCutCard, Manorhouse Workshop Update#5 – Forgotten Halls: the upper floor inserts in details, and Crossover Miniatures Releases Omura Martian Airship.

Despite what you feel about Mondays, it's easy to say that my Pandora was ready to get going. When I loaded it up this morning, the first song to come on was Giuseppe Verdi - Il Trovatore. You may not initially recognize the name, but I can all but guarantee you'll recognize the tune, especially if you grew up watching Warner Brothers cartoons.

Anyway, let's hammer out some terrain stories for you (see what I did there?).

Today's entries include: Tabletop Towns Gaming Mats Up On Kickstarter, New Star Wars Gaming Mats From Fantasy Flight Games, Manorhouse Workshop Forgotten Halls Update 4: about the stairs and flooring up, Heroic Maps - Modular Kit: Ancient Dungeon Corridors Available, and Latest Releases From Armorcast Available.

We're working ourselves down the hill of the week and starting to gain speed. Thursday's here and that means it's time to try and get your tables looking as good as they possibly can.

In today's Terrain Corner we have: New Scenic Terrain Pieces From Antimatter Games, New Iron Fence From Puppets War, Free Harn Map Available, and Manorhouse Workshop Forgotten Halls : first glance behind the scenes.

We've swung back around and made it to another Monday. The work-week stretches before us, full of things to be accomplished. At least, that's how I hope we're going at it, taking the week on head-on with gusto.

So let's not beat around the bush and instead talk about maybe putting some new bushes out on your gaming table (disclaimer: today's Terrain Corner may or may not contain a story about bushes).

We have: New Oil Barrel Sets Available From Tabletop-Art, 10mm Hangar Available from Escenografia Epsilon, Heroic Maps - Thricewatch Lake Released, Manorhouse Workshop Update #8 – 3D Bases – Modular Terrain: Skirmish & Wargame, Pwork Wargames release a new space gaming mat: Rebel Sector, and Heroic Maps - Storeys: Ivyhill Ruins Released.

Well, for those of us here in the US, it's back to the "normal work week" for a few. Thanksgiving was great. I did make soup afterward. I've got quite a lot of it. Some will be frozen. Some will be given away. Much will be consumed over the next week. Should stave off any early-winter illnesses I might encounter.

In the meantime, though, normalization of everything begins with our Terrain Corner. We missed Thursday's because of the holiday, so we've got some extra for you today.

Stories include: Pwork Wargames City Ruins gaming mat now available, New 4Ground Dead Man's Hand Railroad Station and more, Sally 4th Terra Block Barroom set released, Manorhouse Workshop Update #7 – 3D Bases – Modular Terrain: Skirmish & Wargame, Final Days for Trash Bash Bits Part 2, and Two news Russian 15mm houses available From Escenografia Epsilon.

The rain here in Atlanta seems to be bringing a lot of people down. Personally, I love me some "Guns 'N' Roses weather" (congratulations if you get the reference), and as you saw in a previous update today, I've got classic rock playing today in my headphones. And don't let anyone tell you that heavy metal and classic rock can't be nerdy. "Ramble On" anyone?

Anyway, let's get on with our usual Monday feature of a Terrain Corner, where we do our best to make your gaming table look fantastic.

Today's articles include: Manorhouse Workshop Update #6 – 3D Bases – Modular Terrain: Skirmish & Wargame, Acheson Creations Releases the next in its Twentieth Century Alpine Trench Series – the Concrete Troop/Supply Shelter, New From Heroic Maps - The Tar Pits, Renaissance Miniatures Launches Steampunk/Victorian Terrain Kickstarter, Tabletop World Town Gate Sneak Peek, and Deep-Cut Studio releases new City Block gaming mat.

We're making our way ever-closer to the weekend. Thursday is upon us and soon it will be Friday. After that it will be Saturday, glorious Saturday.

But at the moment, it's still Thursday. As such, it's time to look once more at some bits to help make your gaming tables look their best.

Today's batch of stories includes: New Blacksmith Shop From Burn In Designs, Manorhouse Workshop Update #5 – 3D Bases – Modular Terrain: Skirmish & Wargame, and Free asteroids, scenery, acrylic tokens, or Other With Spartan Games Purchases.

Man, it seems Monday's really taking no prisoners among my friends today. One's having car trouble. Another is just slammed with things at work. I know I woke up thinking that 5am was feeling a lot earlier than it usually does. I'm hoping that your Monday isn't kicking as hard as it seems to be for other people that I know.
Something that might help out is looking at some cool terrain and possibly adding it to your own collection. So let's do that.

Today's articles include: Warsenal Releases Comanche Forward Operating Base, Pwork Wargames releases RPG Tabletop Battlegrid, and Manorhouse Workshop Update # 4 – Modular Terrain: Skirmish & Wargame.
