It's Saturday and I'm painting minis.
... I'm not good at painting minis...
But, y'know, it's just about getting the colored goop on the figure. I'm not going to be winning any Golden Demons or Crystal Brushes, but hey... they'll be painted.
But while the last color dries, I'm gonna post your reviews for you.
Today we have: War of Supremacy, Laruna: Age of Kingdoms, Harvest Dice, Ex Libris, Legacy of Dragonholt, Boom Blast Stix, A Column of Fire, Cytosis, Dream Catchers, Arkon, Fabled Fruit, Queendomino, and Clans of Caledonia.
Legacy of Dragonholt
Everyone over at Fantasy Flight has apparently been busy. They've got a whole host of new releases available, along with new pre-orders. If you're looking for the new Runewars figures, they've got 'em. If you're looking for the new A Game of Thrones Catan, they've got it. If you're looking for their new Legacy of Dragonholt game, they've got it. And if you want to pick up the next wave of X-Wing ships, they've got 'em... coming soon, but you can put your name down on the list to get 'em.
So, there's been some discussion about what, exactly, Legacy of Dragonholt. It's not quite an RPG. It's not quite a board game. It's sort of in its own category. As such, you might wonder, "so, what do you do in the game?" Well, in this preview Fantasy Flight shows off what quests are like in the game. So grab your gear and let's go.
While much of the adventures in Legacy of Dragonholt take place out in the wilderness of Terrinoth, there's also plenty to do in the city, itself. Urban adventures will be just as important to the ever-evolving story in the game. I mean, you gotta get supplies and sell your loot, after all. In this preview, Fantasy Flight gives us a look at what going around the streets of the city will be like in the game.
In a previous preview for Legacy of Dragonholt, there was a bit of discussion about "is this an RPG or not?" and no, it really isn't, but there's so many elements that really feel like it is. In this preview, we get a look at Character Creation. And, yeah, it really does feel like some RPG character creations I've seen.
Legacy of Dragholt lets you adventure around the world of Terrinoth in new and exciting ways. The game is less of an experience where you're looking to win or lose, and much more about trying to create a story within the world you explore around. But how all is that supposed to work? Well, that's what we get a look at in this preview.
Fantasy Flight Games has announced a new board game set in the world of Runebound. Legacy of Dragonholt is the first in this new series which will use the Oracle system, letting players adventure all around Terrinoth. The game is a cooperative, narrative venture, and comes initially with six quests players can undertake.
