Godtear

As you all know, I'm a big fan of when a game successfully Kickstarts, then gets sent to backers, and then gets made available to the ganeral public. It's a long, winding, and twisting road, but it's a road that Steamforged has now successfully navigated with Godtear, its miniatures skirmish board game of unearthly might. You can pick up the starter set, along with extra sets, over in their webshop now.

Godtear is Steamforged Games' latest creation. They've got their pre-release beta-test kits on their way out to those that've purchased them. But even if you didn't opt-in for that, you can still now check out more about the game via the official forums. Steamforged has also posted up the game's rules so you can get a look at what is in store.

You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time. That's just a general truth. Not every game is going to be for every gamer. But that does mean that every game should be for some gamer. It's matching the game with the gamer that's important. And, over the course of several articles, Steamforged is looking to show you what type of gamers they're aiming their upcoming minis game, Godtear, at. The first of these articles is up now.

In Godtear, players will be able to control all manner of characters. We've seen the giant hulking monster that is Rangosh. This time around, we get a look at Shayle, Keeper of the Oath. He's a bit more of your "traditional wizard" style, if that's more your thing.

Steamforged Games had their SteamCon UK event over the weekend. It was a celebration of all things Steamforged. Of course, there were plenty of announcements about their current projects, but there was also a new game announced. It's called Godtear, a new fantasy miniatures game. Details are still pretty thin on the ground, but we've got some renders and artwork we can look at.
