Ghost Train Games

It's another Sunday. Time for some more of the shorter, bite-sized stories that we've come across in the past couple days.

Also, yesterday during D&D, our party almost blew up the world (or at least an entire tropical island). Good times.

Anyway, for today we have: New Bad Lands Hero Previews and now EU Friendly shipping, DungeoNext terrain preview, new Fantasy releases from Scotia Grendel, Dark Sword Miniatures' Stephanie Law Masterworks Miniature range now available, Trolka in resin releasing this month for Flintloque, New Sherman Tank Accessories from Warchimera, Lead Adventure Miniatures releases Steam-Punk Ladies and Robots, Planetary Militia preview at The Ion Age, new Leather Pouch added to Alternative Civil War Kickstarter, Brigade Models Release 2mm ACW Forts, and Capitan Miniatures re-launching the former Warmodelling Catalog.

We've got another batch of smaller-sized stories for you this Wednesday.

Beyond the cut we've got: New Spaceships from Brigade Models, a 28mm PDF New Orleans Warehouse from Finger and Toe, the latest releases from Bombshell Miniatures, the latest releases from Spectre Miniatures, new 10mm Caen House from Escenografia Epsilon, New Nuclear Adventurers and a Valentine's Day sale from Brother Vinni, a new Sailboat Hull from Thomarillion, new Mutants and Aliens released by Loud Ninja Games, Spanish edition of Strategikon released by Capitan Games, Aegis Studios Releases Contagion Second Edition Gamemaster Screen, More new model previews for Alternative Civil War, the Spell Saga tabletop novel now available in limited quantities, new Valentine's Day Miniature and Decals and Smoke Plume from Ginfritter's Workshop, and LaserCutCard container price drop.

I know that gamers aren't generally known for their sports knowledge, but you'd have to be willfully ignorant not to know that it's Big Game time (because the NFL is about as litigious as GW, I'll skip out on using the actual term for what's going on today). That's right, here in the US, our American Football championship is happening tonight. Wings, beer, nachos, giant sandwiches, and pizza will be consumed in mammoth proportions.

But before you head to your party, check out some these bite-sized stories.

This time we've got: More unlocks for the Fightin' Fungi Kickstarter, a new release from Hitech Miniatures, New Knights Bundle from Kabuki Models, New Gaming Mats from Deep-Cut Studio, New Mine Tunnel Terrain from Heroic Maps, NOVA 40K Qualifier offered at TotalCon 29, New Previews Posted for Alternative Civil War, New 15mm Houses from Tabletop-Art, New Drunk Goblin Guard from Rebel Minis, and Ludus Magnus Studios announced their relaunch date for Nova Aetas.

Ghost Train Games restructured, reconfigured, recalibrated, reconbobulated, and relaunched their Alternative Civil War: 1861 Kickstarter. Go check out the new campaign for this 28mm alternate history skirmish game.

Ghost Train Games shows off another of their WIPs for Alternative Civil War in their latest update.

Source

From the preview:

Here's an almost final WIP for the next model concept to be released.
We’re not yet sure of its name: We’re discussing around “The Doomed Rifle”, “The Cursed Rifle”, “The Bedeviled Rifle” and I personally like “The Black Halls” or “The Bedeviled Halls”. Would you like to help us to decide it? Check out the discussion at our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/GhostTrainGames) page or send us a message with your opinion via Twitter (@GhostTrainGames) or email (ghosttraingames@gmail.com).

The model itself is not the guy but the gun. It is a M1819 Halls, one of the first breech-loading rifles, that participated in the Mexican-American War where it was infused by a malevolent spirit.
The Halls starves for lifes and souls, turning its wearer into a raving maniac that neglects its own safety in order to provide the weapon with its grim harvest. When the miserable man falls in battle, which ussually don’t take too long, the malignant ghost compels another poor soul to carry it and continue the slaughter.

Ghost Train Games posted up a green for the Improved Mechanical Locomotive Steampack.
Looks like a fun way to spend an afternoon or to make the morning commute not so annoying.

Source

From the preview:

Based on the genius work of Doctor Atticus Johann Weintraub, the IMLS (Improved Mechanical Locomotive Steampack) are designed and built for speed. It turns foot soldiers into a cavalry force allowing the to run as fast as a horse and jump great distances. Albeit much more expensive to field than the animals, they provide a smaller and harder to hit target to enemy fire, are more reliable as it depends only on the man and their jumping capacities provide a key element to assault enemy elevated positions and fortifications. They can only operate small firearms, such as pistols and shortened shotguns, as they need a free hand for the controls but are lethal in the short distance, closing quickly before the muskets and rifles can take tax of their range edge.

These soldiers wade into battle clad in specially quilted uniforms, engineered to prevent the electrical currents they harness from backfiring onto the wielder. On their backs, they carry bulky power packs that store the energy needed to fire their weapons.
