Gangfight Games

Gangfight Games is looking to bring some new minis to the Blackwater Gulch line. They've got the playtest rules for their Savage Beasts expansion up on their website for you to check out. Give 'em a look-see and post your feedback. Hmm, that Werebear art seems familiar. *looks at my right arm* Oh yeah. Another Heath "BA" Foley masterpiece.
Anyway, they've got the rules up now and will be running a Kickstarter for the minis in a couple months.

From the announcement:
It's another Sunday. To those of you that celebrate it, Happy Easter. To the rest, I hope your Sunday is just as awesome as well.
I had my traditional hard boiled eggs and cold kielbasa this morning. It was just as tasty as always.

Speaking of tasty bites, we've got our also-traditional bite-sized stories we've collected over the past few days to present to you now.

This serving we've got: More editions of The Fiver from The Meeple Mechanic, Trash Bash Bits on Kickstarter, New Blackwater Gulch and Mechadrome Models Coming Soon, Valon Civilians released at Alternative Armies, Alliance Boarding Trooper Art Preview from Icarus Miniatures, Imaginary Empire Releases Wicked Lies & Alibis, Rebel Minis Releases 15mm Valonians, and New Historical Tables of Order and Equipment Available for April 2015 from TOEHub.

Gangfight Games is doing something you don't see too often from a gaming company: reducing prices across the board for their miniatures. The reduction is part of the reason they cancelled their recent Kickstarter, as they didn't want people pledging for the higher prices when that wasn't really necessary.
They've also got the first 3D renders up for Vicious Beasts, a new expansion for Blackwater Gulch.
You can check out the new prices in the company's webshop.

From the announcement:
It's another Sunday. Time for some more of the shorter, bite-sized stories that we've come across in the past couple days.

Also, yesterday during D&D, our party almost blew up the world (or at least an entire tropical island). Good times.

Anyway, for today we have: New Bad Lands Hero Previews and now EU Friendly shipping, DungeoNext terrain preview, new Fantasy releases from Scotia Grendel, Dark Sword Miniatures' Stephanie Law Masterworks Miniature range now available, Trolka in resin releasing this month for Flintloque, New Sherman Tank Accessories from Warchimera, Lead Adventure Miniatures releases Steam-Punk Ladies and Robots, Planetary Militia preview at The Ion Age, new Leather Pouch added to Alternative Civil War Kickstarter, Brigade Models Release 2mm ACW Forts, and Capitan Miniatures re-launching the former Warmodelling Catalog.

Gangfight Games heads out West in their new board game, Bad Lands: Curse of the Skinwalker. You and the other players must work together to save Blackwater Gulch from a group of were-monsters (I'm guessing someone drank the black water. That stuff can't be healthy). Just grab one of the pre-made characters, or you can even design your own.
All your friends snowed in (like they are in Chicago right now)? There's solo-play rules as well.
The campaign runs until March 3rd.

From the campaign:
Gangfight Games has previews to show off for their upcoming Bad Lands board game. You can check out some sweet Skinwalker art (some done by Heath "BA" Foley. One I liked so much, I had it permanently added to my arm), a look at the Loot cards, as well as download the preview rulebook.

Gangfight Games has posted their Games Gazette #1 up online for your reading pleasure. In this inaugural issue, they talk about how happy they are to have Mechadrome already shipped to backers (a month ahead of schedule) and how all the models are now available over in their webshop. Along with that, they give us a look into Bad Lands, their cooperative board game set in the Blackwater Gulch universe. The game is a survival horror type, where you and your fellow players must make it past werewolves and chupacabras and other such fun beasties. They've got a preliminary website up for it that you can check out as well.

Mechadrome is shipping!

I just received all of models from the Kickstarter campaign and I've been shipping out rewards to many of the backers. One thing we are still waiting on is the printed rulebook and it looks like that's about 2 weeks away. As soon as the books come in the remainder of the rewards will go out :)
Gangfight Games has the window where you can get into their Mechadrome game at Kickstarter prices closing soon. Go on and jump through the window!
... wait, that sounds bad.
Don't jump out the window. Just go join in over on Gangfight Games' website.

From them to you:

Our Kickstarter campaign went very well, and our Pledge Manager has been online for the last few weeks. The Pledge Manager is open to all who would like to preorder our Mechs, but since we have to get our quantities over the manufacturer next week, ALL orders must be placed by August 31st if you would like to get in on our first production run and get your models along with all of the Kickstarter backers. The retail release for the game will not be until some time next year.

Please visit our Pledge Manager Online Store at gangfightgames.com to order! All US orders over $100 ship for free, and all foreign orders over $100 can save $10 on international shipping if you use the coupon code ROWSHIP when you check out!

From the campaign:

The Mechadrome Kickstarter Campaign will be ending Tuesday, July 1 2014 10:00 PM EDT. Thanks to our awesome backers we are funded and can't wait to start making our Mechs! If you would like to join in, now is the time!

Our Light and Medium Terran Mechs are funded, and in our casting company's production queue. We are promising delivery in December, but we expect that to be much sooner, hopefully late October or early November. The retail release probably won't be until some time in 2015, so if you want to get the models ahead of time, and discounted prices, you'll have to join the Kickstarter before it's too late!

Thanks again to everyone for all your help!

Gangfight Games are in their last days for Mechadrome up on Kickstarter. They've made their goal and then some. They're posting up more pilot profile cards as well.

From the campaign:

The campaign has gone very well and we’re really excited to start making our mechs! All of our 3D prints have been submitted to our production company and we’re in the queue for September. This should mean we’ll be able to deliver sooner than our expected December release (but we’re not changing the date, just to play it safe, but we are hopeful that we will be able to deliver earlier than expected).

Head on over to the campaign page and check out the recent posts for more sample pilot cards and bios! And while you’re there, why not pledge your support and get in on the ground floor with us! It’s been a great ride so far, the next few days should be fun :)

Here’s a card preview of our most recent pilot, Disorder of the Terran Titans.

Gangfight Games has posted up a pair of pilot cards so you can get a look at some of the players in the game.

From the posts:

Raking the ground with blaster fire, Tsuragowa roars from the sky riding twin contrails of booster jet flame right into the heart of the opposing team. Landing amongst them, shrouded by the dirt and debris kicked up by his weapons fire, ‘Rag grabs hold of the nearest enemy Mech, gripping tight and laying in with some close quarters fire. If he can, he uses his boosters to keep them off-balance, jinking one way then the next, long enough for their systems to start to power down due to overload. And then he’s off to the next engagement, just another prime example of Team Bushido’s infamous hit/run tactics.
Gangfight Games is showing off initial 3D prints of the Arena Hazard pieces for Mechadrome.

Mechadrome Hazards

Source

From the post:

The prints for the arena hazards and alt light mech poses have arrived, and here they are! Sorry if the details are tough to see, the material was transparent this time, so it doesn't all show up as well as the blue color the other prints had. I stuck the medium mech bodies in there just for scale.

You can visit our Kickstarter campaign page for more info and pictures!

Gangfight Games is showing off the first previews for the medium mechs for Mechadrome.
You thought the lights were big...

Mechadrome Medium Mechs

Source

From the post:

The Medium Mech samples showed up today, and I wanted to share some photos. These are metal master samples, and were pretty heavy and tough to work with, but I managed to file down the very few spots of flash. I attached the arms with poster putty and they were too heavy and kept falling off. I'll glue them on when I paint them. Of course none of that matters since the final models will be resin and very light and easy to work with!

So, from left to right, we have Buzzkill, Disorder, Makuzo and Tusragowa.. and the obligatory space marine for size comparison. Over on the Kickstarter campaign page I have some close up shots and rear views, check em out!

Gangfight Games has made it past their funding goal for Mechadrome over on Kickstarter. So it's on to stretch goals for the next 22 days.

From the campaign:

Howdy folks!

I just wanted to make a new update to keep everyone in the loop. I'm going to plan to do an update every Monday going forward, now and after the camapign, with everything that's been happening lately.

We've had quite the week here being funded so quick and lots of things in development. This coming week should be pretty productive too! Tomorrow I'm expecting the medium mech samples to show up. I'm going to build them right away and get some photos so we'll finally have real-world comparison shots of the 2 different Terran models. Then I'll dive into painting and I should have the terran mediums painted up this weekend, with Team Bushido a few days later. I probably won't have enough sample pieces for bodies for every mech, so I'm going to magnetize the arms and use the same bodies for each photo for now.
Talk Wargaming sat down with Tim Kline from Gangfight Games to talk about Mechadrome.

Mechadrome

Source

From the interview:

Who doesn't love Mechs? The idea of taking control of a giant walking death machine is sure appeal to many. With recent titles such as Titanfall and Transformers (not strictly mechs but they are big, mechanical and killy) helping to build their fan base it seems to be the perfect time to bring them to the Wargaming table.

This is where Mechadrome comes in, a 28mm tabletop game which pits rival teams of Mechs against each other in an arena style setting. Mechadrome, by Gangfight Games, is currently receiving funding via Kickstarter and I (PH) caught up with Tim Kline (TK) to find out more about the game.

Gangfight Games made it up and over their goal for Mechadrome in just their first 2 days. So it's on to stretch goals for the next 27 days.

Stretch Goals

Source

From the update:

Thanks to our awesome backers, the Mechadrome Kickstarter was funded in just over a day! Now it's on to the stretch goals!

We have an updated list of goals on the campaign page now, with a couple of new ones added in, head on over to our Kickstarter page and check it out!

Gangfight Games is showing off a new medium mech free agent for Mechadrome with a preview of the render for Trion.

Source

From the preview:

Trion will be the first Free Agent for Mechadrome. Free Agents are special characters who can join any team. Trion is a Medium Mech, armed with 2 Particle Cannons, 1 Missile Pod and Booster Jets. Like other Medium Mechs, he is a $15 add-on. And, here is his bio:
Gangfight Games has posted some preview renders of their Terran Medium Mech they're working on for their Mechadrome game.

Source

From the preview:

We put together some 3D renders to show each different weapon and equipment option for the Terran Medium Mech. The arms will be in 2 pieces so you can easily swap just the forearm or gun around, so there will be more options for poses. Also, there are 2 different leg posses, you can just glue the leg piece right into the torso.

I'm getting the 3D prints done now, I will probably have them late this week or early next week. I'll post photos as soon as I have them!

Gangfight Games is showing of some scale photos of their Mechadrome Mechs as well as a look at what parts they come with.
Gotta say, they're bigger than I expected.

Source

From the update:

Well, it's the end of day 2 and things are moving right along. Today the 3D prints for the 28mm scale Terran Light Mech arrived and I took some photos. This thing is actually pretty huge. It's exactly 2x bigger than the 15mm scale, so I guess it's more like a 30mm scale mech, but who's going to nitpick over 2mm when the model looks cool? :) Here's the pics!

Gangfight Games has launched their Kickstarter campaign for Mechadrome, their sci-fi skirmish game of mech-on-mech action.

Source

From the campaign:

Hundreds of years from now, the greatest sport the galaxy has ever known will explode on your screens as everyone watches their favorite teams of giant Mechs beating each other to scrap. Mechadrome is a 15mm scale "Mech Combat Gladiator Arena Skirmish Game" set in the far future where man and alien races have come together, forming teams that do battle in arenas set in abandoned, war-torn cities and industrial zones. The game is simple, fast and fun, and the Mech models we hope to create with this Kickstarter campaign offer a wide variety of customization. The pieces are universal and can easily be glued to any Mech for lethal combinations of cannons, pistols, missile pods, and devastating melee weapons like jackhammers, buzzsaws and siege drills.

We have a lot of cool stuff lined up, so feel free to head over to our Kickstarter page and check it out!
