TGN Sunday Snippets

Hey everyone. It's come time for another edition of Sunday Snippets. Hopefully your weekend is going well. Many of you may have tomorrow off from work as well. We'll be in the office, but we're gonna be having a BBQ in the afternoon. So it'll be a good time had by all! Plus, traffic is going to be a breeze, since all the offices downtown will be closed.
Hey, when you live in Atlanta, a lot of your thoughts turn to how the traffic is going to be. Trust me.

Anyway, in this batch of bite-sized stories we have: Kromlech New Release - Legionary Plasma Gun & Combat Blades, 6 more installments of The Fiver from The Meeple Mechanic, and The Ministry of Board Games Alternative media network launched.

Eagle Games adds new pledge level to Dawn: Rise of the Occulites Kickstarter

Eagle Games added a new pledge level to their Dawn: Rise of the Occulites Kickstarter campaign.
The project's made almost 2x their original goal, so there's plenty of extras to check out.

Source

From the update:

In an effort to create some momentum and move us solidly past the $45,000 stretch goal ASAP, we have created a new "Almost the Early Bird Sunmaster Level" at $246. That's only $1 more than the prior (and most popular) Early Bird Sunmaster Level which is now sold out. We hope that this will entice those who might be "sitting on the fence" or waiting until the end of the campaign to jump in now and take advantage of this further savings. We would like to see this campaign make it all the way to $75K and pick up all stretch goals possible between now and then, but hitting $45K sooner than later will certainly make ALL of us feel a lot better we are sure!

Thanks for all of your support and be sure to tell your friends about Dawn: Rise of the Occulites!

Best regards--Ben and Rick and the Eagle Games team

Dawn: Rise of the Occulites coming to Kickstarter in 2013

Eagle Games is putting out the word that they're going to have Dawn: Rise of the Occulites, a new board game, coming to Kickstarter in 2013.

From the announcement:

After many years of hard work crafting and developing the Rise of the Occulites setting, the first game in the Rise of the Occulites Saga, "Dawn - Rise of the Occulites" will launch with Eagle Games on Kickstarter in January 2013.

The game sees you in control of a Tribe of Occulites, fighting for survival throughout a series of scenarios that can be played as one offs or as a full blown campaign.

Play simple pickup games with the introductory rules, or watch your Tribe advance and evolve over the course of a Sungem Season, whilst gaining Learned Abilities through your actions on the board.
Dawn - Rise of the Occulites uses a mechanic called the "Natural Selection Deck" that determines how you move, fight and resolve situations within the game. The way you manage this deck will reflect how well your Tribe does in any given scenario.
