Junk Spirit Games is running a Kickstarter to create a new edition of Tyler Sigman's Crows. Set in the world of Tessandor, the crows have, for some reason, started to give off mana, vital for spellcasters to weave their craft. As such, all the different wizards and sorcerers of the land are looking to entice the crows to them. This new edition includes updated art, a new design aesthetic, and some updated gameplay mechanics.
From the campaign:
Tyler Sigman's Crows is a competitive 2-4 player tile placement game where every player takes on the roll of an Outcast Mage in the world of Tessandor. A once-in-a-lifetime event is causing the crows of the Obsidian Wastes to give off mana that can be collected in magical stones. Players score points by enticing the crows to flock to their totem (their shiny object). This can potentially create murders of crows, which then disperse throughout the ever changing map keeping the strategic gameplay tense and diverse.
Crows was originally created by Tyler Sigman in 2010 and published by Valley Games. As a huge fan of Tyler's The Darkest Dungeon video game (Steam, PS4, iOS), we're incredibly excited to work with Tyler to bring this game back into production with new art, new design and some additional gameplay enhancements.
The campaign is up and running now. They're most of the way to their goal with still 30 days on the clock.

Saturdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! *runs around with arms over my head* Wooooooooooooooooo! Alright, let's do this thing!
Today we have: Tulip Bubble, Nuked, Wasteland Express Delivery Service, Brutal Kingdom, Dwarven Smithy, Crows, Sticky Chameleons, Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Jack the Ripper & West End Adventures, Haspelknecht: The Ruhr Valley, Rumbleslam, Game Toppers, Quantum, and Samurai Gardener.
In Tulip Bubble, players buy tulips in an auction and hope to sell them once the prices increase. During the buying phase, each player can place three bidding markers on the tulips in the market. If you are the only person who places a marker on a tulip, you can buy it for the market price. However, if multiple players bid on the same tulip an auction occurs.
While Wasteland Express may be a pick up and deliver game, at its heart, it’s really a race game. Players are trying to be the first to complete 3 priority first class contracts.
Each round, players will have 5 actions they can take. Actions are also limited based on the amount of spaces on your player board for that action. Different actions include moving, buying resources (Food, Water, or Weapons), selling, taking outpost specific actions (drawing contracts, upgrading your truck, etc.), and pillaging raiders you defeat in combat (free resources!).
With each round of play, every player will receive four cards, two light colored and two dark colored. The light colored cards are dealt first. Each player keeps one and passes the other to their left. Then the dark colored cards are delivered the same way, this time passing to the right. Doing this ensures that each player knows one of the cards of their neighbors.
In Dwarven Smithy you attempt to craft the most valuable weapons, armor and other tools to earn gold. However, your forge isn’t some sprawling place where you can store infinite goods. You must manage your space to succeed as you are limited to the number of items you can place in your workshop, the number of items you can take to market, as well as the number of tools and apprentices you can have.
Although not completely explained, the players in Crows appear to be ancient wizards summoning and manipulating flocks of crows to attract them to their mana totems. The player who manages to attract the most crows will eventually win the game.
In Sticky Chameleons you are one of the eponymous lizards out to nab the plumpest snack. If you’ve ever wanted one of those famously cool ballistic tongues, look no further! In this dexterity exercise, you’ll be flinging versions of the popular kids sticky toy as projecting muscle avatars to snatch bug tokens!
Thirty-six insect tokens of seven various shapes and sizes representing seven different creepy-crawlies are randomly and loosely spread about the table. The only rule is to make sure that none overlap. Six types of bugs are edible treats while wasps prove a little too spicy. While your tongue may be strong, your buds are a little more delicate.
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Jack the Ripper & West End Adventures is a stand-alone game in the Consulting Detective series. Players are members of the Baker Street Irregulars, assistants to Sherlock Holmes. Players will cooperatively follow leads, study clues, and try to answer Sherlock Holmes’s questions at the end of the case.
To begin, players take the casebook for the case they’re playing, all of the newspapers from this case and previous cases, the map of London (or Whitechapel), and the London directory and place them on the table. One player reads aloud the introduction, and the game begins.
There are three distinct elements to the Ruhr Valley expansion that can be added to the base game experience in any combination you wish. The first module is simply thirteen new development tiles. You mix them with the base game’s tiles and randomly create a grid from the enlarged tile pool. Just as in the base game, they provide unique benefits to the players that manage to research them. There’s the Wicker Basket which awards you action discs to be used at the time of your choosing. The Thanksgiving tile awards you one food and then during the autumn phase allows you to give one food to another player in exchange for victory points.
