Ok, so I was being a little facetious, saying that we were expecting a Snowpocalypse here in Atlanta, with the little bit of snow that was coming down at the time... but... yeah... we had a bit of a Snowpocalypse. That was the view from my front door last night and it was still much the same this morning. Thankfully, since then, the sun's come out and much of it is melting. But still... yeah, quite a thing. Good day to stay in and do some gaming. But what games? Well, you can find out what games are like with the Review Roundup!
This week we have: Villages of Velaria, Pandemic Legacy: Season 2, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle - Box of Monsters Expansion, Axis & Allies: Anniversary Edition, Wizards Wanted, Braintopia, NMBR9, Ticket to Ride: Germany, Planetarium, Barbarians: The Invasion, Space Race, The Captain is Dead, and Heaven & Ale.
How quickly can you do basic math problems? What about finding matching cards? Or maybe picking out items based on their color? What about solving other small puzzles? If you're good at those, you'll be good at Braintopia, the new party game available now from Asmodee.
There's various different types of party game out there. There's bluffing games like Masquerade and Raise Your Goblets. There's the "vote on a card" types such as Cards Against Humanity and Apples to Apples. Braintopia, coming soon from Asmodee, isn't like any of those. Instead, you and the other players on your team are looking to complete various puzzles as fast as possible.
I love a good brain-teaser. I enjoy puzzles and mazes and such like that. One of my favorite games, for example, is Set. Well, Asmodee has announced a new game that looks to be right up my alley. It's called Braintopia and it will challenge you to complete puzzles as quickly as possible. Sounds like fun.
