Some of you have been enjoying PunkApocalyptic, the post-apocalyptic sci-fi miniatures game from Bad Roll Games. But maybe you've wanted to get down and dirty with your gangs on a more granular level. You want to head down into their world and walk aound in their boots for a while. Soon, you can with the PunkApocalytpic RPG that's up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
The world has gone to hell and nearly everyone who has lived through it has gone mad. In PunkApocalyptic: The Roleplaying Game, based on the wild and irreverent miniatures game of the same name by Bad Roll Games, you and your friends assume the roles of mercenaries who roam the Wasteland. In this bleak and radioactive land, you fight to survive, explore the ruins of what came before, and trade blood, sweat, and tears for the precious bullets that have become the land's currency. Explore the radioactive ruins, fight battle-crazed mutants, negotiate with bizarre cultists, bargain with junkers and scavengers, and unearth fantastic relics from the past. Brutal and filthy, PunkApocalyptic: The RPG offers thrilling adventures steeped in the carnage of a bleak and devastated future.
The campaign's making its way to its funding goal with still 16 days left to go.

Long-time readers know that I'm a fan of 2-player starter sets. They get you going in a game right away, with a second force that your friend can try out. Though, it can be a bit of a pain if there's models that are only available in said starter. What if you just want one? Well, the folks at Punkapocalyptic are here to help. They have the individual modesl from their starter set now available as singles.
From the post:
You can now get all the new Ganger and Mutard miniatures from the Starter set in individual blister packs (with the exception of Old Ratcutter, which is exclusive to the box).

We're only just a couple days into February, but the folks over at Bad Roll Games aren't wasting any time. They've posted up this month's Punkapocalyptic releases. It's a trio of figures to fill out your ranks, including a figure that had rules, but no mini up until this point. Head over and get yours now.
From the website:
We have new Punkapocalyptic releases.
This time we bring you the Dynamo with vaporeta for Junkers. The only weapon in the whole rules without a miniature to represent it.
And two V Reich reinforcements. A second Übersoldat, with heavy blade. Because shooting is fine, but busting faces at close range is more satisfying.
And of course Ilse, She-wolf of the V Reich. A personality that likes mutards less than usual
You can find them at our online store and the usual hobby stores.

I mean, it's actually a vicious attack dog, but all of them are little baby puppies to me.
From the announcement:
We have new Punkapocalyptic releases. This time we bring you Captain Hammerica, legend of the Wasteland, a paladin of justice for some, a real wacko for others. And a reinforcement for the V Reich, the second Soldat. In addition to the Shotgun and mastiff seen in the picture, it comes with 3 other arms including a Small blade, Pistol, bare fist… and an optional head!.

My favorite way for people to get into a game is via a 2-player starter set. You and a buddy can split the costs and get going right away with a set each. You don't have to worry about figuring out what factions play well against each other, or if you've got a good starter force to learn with. Everything's right there for you. The folks at Bad Roll Games are looking to create just that for Punkapocalyptic, and they've launched a Kickstarter in order to get it funded.
From the campaign:
Our goal is to release a Starter Set for two players. For that we have chosen our first and probably most emblematic factions: Gangers and Mutards. We will also include a battle rulebook (in Spanish or English) and a set of dice. This box will appeal both new players wanting to get introduced into the game, as well as more veteran players who want to add new miniatures to their bands. So now you have no excuse not to follow the Punkaddiction.
The campaign's about 3/4 of the way to its goal with 14 days still to go.

For those that wanted to get into Punkapocalyptic and maybe didn't know what crew you wanted to run with, there's a new one on the block. Or maybe you already play and still want to try out something new. Now's your chance. The V Reich starter set is now available.
From the announcement:
A new faction arrives to Punkapocalyptic. After the successful crowdfunding campaign last year, the V Reich are now released to the general public. Now for sale the v Reich Starter Pack, including five resin miniatures: Marshal (pistol and metallic armour), Medic (small blade / pistol), Soldat (Rifle and biohazard protection), Übersoldat (shotgun, metallic armour and biohazard protection) and Subhuman. These same miniatures are available also individually.

Punkapocalyptic is looking to add a new faction. It's the V Reich. They're all-inclusive, letting in anyone... as long as you're not a mutant. That, they just won't tolerate. The new faction is up on Kickstarter now.
No one knows exactly who stablished the V Reich operating around the Scrapbridge area, but they undoubtedly were some folks who found a heavy load of 20th century History books and they clearly lost control of their grip with all the national-socialist regalia linked with the European fascist regimes from the 30s and 40s. Staying away from the anarch-punk attitude and looks of the regular gangers, this person or persons founded a highly-militarized, organized and hierarchical organization, stocking loads of military apparel in a fortresslike settlement they baptized as Festung Germania. As the books that survived from the World of Before stated very old dates, and doubting if there had been another Reich after the Third they had read so much about, they decided to name the new organization as the Fifth Reich, just in case.
In spite of their grand ideals, not so long ago this group was a bunch of losers who got asskicked by any other faction around. But in a twist of fate two random events turned the tide. In a military bunker they found some old cryogenic chambers with genetically enhanced soldiers ready for war, stronger and less inteligent than the average band member, who immediately became the elite shock troops of the Reich. And during a rutinary mission in search of supplies, a patrol found a trapdoor hidden under the rubble of a mansion from the World of Before. It led to the personal private museum of Edward Berhart, World War II collector and enthusiast, with hundreds of original uniforms and weapons which were an ideal stock for this faction.
The basic principles of the V Reich are a deep hate towards Mutards, whom they consider animals unworthy of sharing the same land as humans, as well as some kind of fatalistic doomsday cult, as they think that the true end of the World is yet to come and they must get ready for it. That said, you need to know that as long as you don’t have extra limbs, scales, tail or some weird-ass mutation, the V Reich will receive you with open arms no matter your gender, race or religion: women, latinos, jews and black people fill the ranks of this organization, which is currently ruled by Führer Aaron Schwartzmann.

Bad Roll Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring a fourth faction to you for Punkapocalyptic, their post-apocalyptic miniatures skirmish game. Seems people are pretty stoked about it, too, since they funded pretty quickly and are already on their way through some stretch goals.
The game is played using about 5-10 30mm scale models. You're in charge of a small gang that's looking for resources in the Wasteland, the desert-like, barren expanse between what used to be parts of civilization. This Kickstarter looks to expand your options via 8 models that will make up the Black Blood Children warband.
As I mentioned, the campaign's already funded with still 10 days left to go.

Wednesday. The previous weekend is two days behind us. The next weekend is two days ahead of us. We are perched atop a precipice. Which isn't to say "it's all downhill from here," but I guess you could consider it as such. At the very least, I hope the first half of the week went smoothly and that the rest of the week follows suit.
In the meantime, we've got our collection of bite-sized stories we want to present to you now.

Portsmouth has always been one of the Royal Navy’s main bases, going back to the Tudors and Henry VIII. Henry built fortifications to guard the entrances to the Solent as part of his Device Forts programme, one of which was Southsea Castle. The first of our new models this week is of Southsea as first built in 1544. The castle was heavily modified over the years, including the repositioning of the whole North Wall 20-30 feet further north during the Napoleonic walls. The redesign was so extensive that we’ve made a completely different model of it after the work, dated around 1850.
During the Victorian Era, Lord Palmerston was responsible for a large number of coastal and inland forts built to counter a French invasion that, of course, never came. Four forts were built out to sea in the Solent itself – No Man’s Land and Horse Sands (which were pretty much identical), Spitbank and St Helen’s forts. We’ve modelled all of these as part of our Small Scale Scenery range, including a proposed turreted version of No Man’s Land/Horse Sands Fort with turrets that was never built but looks great !
The models are all modelled at 1/1000th so are ideal for 2mm scale figures, 1/1200th naval vessels or larger scale aircraft games.
As well as pre-Dreadnought era naval gaming, these models will also be perfect for Aeronef/Land Ironclads games and I’m sure we’ll see them appearing in Dystopian Wars games too, where our scenery range seems to be pretty popular.
Red Duke Games will soon be launching their first Kickstarter campaign for their new card game, NUMINOUS – Where Every Creature Counts! For 2 to 4 players, where each player uses Creatures from Myth, Lore and Legend to earn points and be the first to reach the victory number. But the Victory Number is as elusive as some of the denizens of Numinous - and you must be able to hold onto it for a turn in order to win the game. Numinous is a card-based game involving simple math and literary/mythological creatures. Kids use math skills in a fun way, and learn about mythology. Adults and experienced card gamers love the fast pace and wildly different play from game to game.
Brickerium will release a Kickstarter project at the end of this month. "Dungeon Revolutions" is a new, revolutionary and easy way to build your own 3D-dungeon. Brickerium invented it in cooperation with Thomarillion.
Well, I think its time to put in a stretch goal to see if we cant get some more backers! If we can hit £4000 I will pack an extra robot for free in with every reward. Yep, thats right, one free robot. If you select several copies of the same robot with the 3 or 5 robot pledge levels then it will simply be an extra copy of the same parts. If you have selected the 1 robot deal or a mix of robots then it will be a robot made of random parts.

Bad Roll Games is running an Indiegogo campaign for Punkapocalyptic, their new post-apocalyptic skirmish miniatures game. You've probably seen the individual miniatures they've put out, now you can get the rules and gangs to play the skirmish game. An average game will have you playing around 5 to 10 minis that are 30mm in scale. The campaign is right around half-funded, with still 29 days to go.
From the campaign:
Bad Roll Games is a small Spanish company formed up by three friends, that has been working for more than a year on the addictive tabletop game Punkapocalyptic. During this time we have put on the market several high-quality and detailed miniatures for our first two factions, Gangers and Mutards. You can check them out at our webpage, where you will also be able to download the rulebook and gang sheets for free, or visit our Facebook or Twitter accounts.
Basically our game is a fast-paced skirmish showdown between rival gangs, played with 5 to 10 30 mm scale miniatures in a post-apocalyptic, barren and desolate environment known as the Wasteland. If you are into skirmish games, wargames in general, apocalyptic settings or just like to paint superb minis made by some of the best sculptors in the market these days, this game is for you. Don't hesitate to visit our website to know more about the background of this setting, read a bunch of short stories, watch some cool drawings and maps, or feast your eyes with the miniature galleries.
