Arcana Games

Ancient Greece. It's one of the most lore-filled civilizations in the Western world, with tales and legends and myths that we still regularly tell today. If you'd like to enter that realm and fight monsters and sail the Mediterranean, you're in luck. The Arkadia setting book for Dungeons & Dragons is now available.

It's sometimes hard to separate out fantasy Ancient Greece with actual Ancient Greece. The stories and mythology of that region are so ingrained in our knowledge of the land. Gorgons, Cyclopses, Hydras, Minotaurs, and more give the land an otherworldly feel. Arkadia is a new setting book for 5th Edition that brings your characters to that heroic time and place. The book is up on Kickstarter now.

You all know my love of "gaming backpack games." They're the ones you toss in your pack and carry with you, ready to be played at a moment's notice. Well, Daggers is such a game. It's a quick, two-player card game that's easy to teach. It's also up on Kickstarter now.
'Tis the season of giving. And Arcana Games is giving everyone a gift. They've reduced the price of their Blood and Bone campaign book to nothing! Have you wanted to check out this gritty world, without capricious gods or meddling wizards, now's your chance to get it for free. Just head over and download a copy for yourself.
Arcana Games has a new fantasy RPG available. It's called Blood and Bone. It's being touted as "Game of Thrones meets Dungeons & Dragons". The game uses a streamlined D20 system, and characters don't have classes. Instead, what your character is capable of is based off of the various Traits that they will have and acquire as you adventure around the world of Ossura.
Grin: A Darker Age, is a free horror RPG game where all the rules for it fit on a single sheet of paper. Being a horror RPG, the chances for your character to make it out alive are somewhat slim. Monsters and madmen stalk the dark places and are just waiting to pounce out and get you. But wait, if it's free, what's the Kickstarter for? Well, they're looking to fund a book of scenarios for you to play. The book looks to be over 100 pages, so that one they'll be charging for.
We all know Haiku

You've made it to Friday. Congratulations!
You should reward yourself with some gaming. Or perhaps take in a movie. *opes the paper to see if anything good is playing right now* ;)

However you choose to spend your weekend, be it fighting against robot hordes, or just watching them on the big screen, hopefully you have a good time.

Arcana Games has launched their Kickstarter campaign for Blood & Bone, their new low-fantasy RPG. What is "low fantasy?" Well, think Game of Thrones. Sure, there are a lot of fantasy elements (zombies, dragons, etc), but it's more the actions of the humans involved that drive the story. It's a bit closer to "historical, medieval RPG" than it is the "classic fantasy" world of Tolkien et all.
The campaign is closing in on being half-funded, but there's still 31 days left on the clock to reach their target.
