The packing of Wave 2 will begin towards the end of next week. As previously stated, we will be packing at least 50% of the boxes before we announce that shipping has begun. We will let everyone know shortly which products will be shipped in Wave 2. We also hope to have some good news on the PDF version of the rules soon.

From the post:

All Quiet on the Martian Front was just released by the nice folk over at Alien Dungeon. It is a 15mm scale tactical game of the Martian invasion early 20th century. The "current" game year is 1914 and the Martians control a large part of the globe. I backed it on Kickstarter just over a year ago and finally the big box arrived containing about 2/3 of the initial releases.

Alien Dungeon posts update about All Quiet on the Martian Front

Alien Dungeon has a post up about how things are coming along with fulfillment for their All Quiet on the Martian Front Kickstarter.

Source

From the update:

Well, we have been quiet during December, but only because we have been b-u-s-y. After not shipping in December, we were all determined to hunker down and get this stuff out so that’s what we have been doing while “Sales” handled the Holiday orders. That meant lots of hard work but we should have been more diligent with updates. Besides All Quiet, we have, of course, had to manage the rest of our business and we had the best November and December ever. So, first things first, to all of you already shopping our goods, THANK YOU!

Alien Dungeon - European and UK Shipping Deal for the All Quiet Kickstarter

Alien Dungeon knows shipping costs can be prohibitive when ordering product, especially if it's overseas shipping. So they've been working on a new deal for their All Quiet on the Martian Front Kickstarter.

From the announcement:

We are very pleased to announce that Renedra, the renowned manufacturer and retailer of plastic miniatures and accessories, has agreed to act as our European Union distributor for the All Quiet on the Martian Front Kickstarter only. We could not be happier with this outcome since Architects of War, our sister company, is the Exclusive North American Distributor for Renedra.

What does this mean for you if you live in the UK or EU? There will be no increase in the flat rate shipping charge! You will receive the shipment of your pledge, freebies and any add-on goodies by paying the previously stated flat rate shipping, no additional charges. The product will ship to you from the UK!

So, we have 3 different categories that you can fall into…

• US – Free shipping
• UK and EU – Flat rate stated in the pledge levels or shipping policy for Add-ons. No VAT or other import duties charged to you.
• Everybody Else – Flat rate stated in the pledge levels or shipping policy for Add-ons. You will be responsible for any duty or taxes charged at the time of delivery if applicable in your country.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you all for being so patient while we hammered out the details!

Alien Dungeon posts up preview rules for All Quiet on the Martian Front on Kickstarter

Alien Dungeon is doing well over on Kickstarter, going over $150k already. They've posted up a preview version of the rules so you can "try it before you buy it."

From the update:

In a desire to give people a clearer picture of All Quiet on the Martian Front, the Game Launch that this Kickstarter is all about, we are putting up this TRY IT PDF. I do hope you will give it a go. We think this game is a lot of fun and has tons of potential but I suppose we would feel that way!

We have been listening and here is a chance to “try it” before you buy it. As I have stated previously, I wish I could demo the game to each and every one of you personally but that is hardly practical. Here is a stab at the same thing.

This is NOT a “beta” release of the rules. There is a lot more to the game and the rules than you will see in this PDF, but it should give you a good sense of how the game will play out. It uses LESS THAN HALF of what you get in the IINVASION box set and that doesn’t count the FREE unlocks that have already occurred and are to come.

Alien Dungeon launches All Quiet on the Martian Front Kickstarter

Alien Dungeon has officially launched their All Quiet on the Martian Front Kickstarter campaign (I'm still groovin' on that name).

From the campaign:

The Martian attack of 1898 brought terrible devastation to the city of London and set the course of human history upon an altogether unexpected path. Amongst the ruins of the greatest metropolis on Earth, the Martians had - in the end – faltered and perished. Everyone now knows that these invaders were overcome, not by the might of Queen Victoria’s armies, but by nature’s own forces of disease and decay. Against these mere microbes, the Martians’ superior minds could muster no defense. Where mankind had failed, the smallest and least significant of all Earth’s organisms had triumphed.

Although the Martian invasion shocked the world and caused widespread panic in the days that followed, by the early years of the twentieth century, many influential thinkers were eager to proclaim the aliens a spent force. Fear of further alien attack was gradually displaced by the humdrum concerns of life and commerce. It is sobering to reflect that most people were happy to accept this misguided notion, as we now know it to have been. All over the world, only a few visionaries continued to warn that the first attack might have been a scouting foray, the precursor to a full-scale invasion. They urged humanity to ready itself for war or risk extermination. These men were openly ridiculed and all too often dismissed as alarmists and cranks.

Few even noticed the arrival of the second wave of Martian cylinders that fell to earth sometime around the end of 1908. By the time the Martian presence came to the attention of the governments of Earth, it was already too late.
