Long-time readers of TGN know that I love mechs. I also love history. So what happens when you throw the two of them together? Well, you get something like Scythe, the new board game by Stonemaier Games that's up on Kickstarter now. It looks like I'm not the only one who goes for such things, either, since Kickstarter just launched today and it's already at ... oh... over 1000% funded. That's not a typo.
In the game, various factions in an alternate-history 1920's Eastern Europe are competing for control of the territory around a mysterious Factory. Take charge of one of those nations and increase your production, deploy your mechs, and recruit more people to your side in order to secure victory.
The campaign is set to run for another 23 days.
