Alessio Cavatore over at River Horse has just been a busy little bee lately. Along with Terminator Genisys that's going to be on your store shelves any time now (my copy here came in the other day. Expect extra coverage of that soon), he's been working on Waterloo - Quelle Affaire. The Kickstarter campaign is up and running and has just passed over the funding goal. The game is a hex-based strategic board game that lets you and an opponent recreate the famous defeat of Napoleon. Though, hopefully, (if you're the French player) you might be able to pull a victory out where the French originally had one of their most historic defeats.
The main box contains:
· Rules leaflet
· 2'x2' game board
· 64 Command and Event cards full of quotes from the battle
· 26 French Division double-sided counters
· 21 Anglo-Allied Division double-sided counters
· 12 Prussian Division double-sided counters
· a number of other counters
· 6 six-sided dice
The game is designed to be quick and easy to play. So you don't have to be an historian or a hardcore gamer in order to get involved in the action.
The campaign is set to run for another 16 days.
