Cosplay is one of those aspects of the hobby that’s always intrigued me, but I never really got into. I know it takes a lot of time, effort, patience, and can be somewhat expensive… all attributes that I don’t possess. So those that do it should be looked upon with awe. Well, they’re getting their own card game as well. RESOCARD is a cosplaying card game that’s up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
RESOCARD Game is a fast and fun card-matching game for 2-6 players. Photos of cosplayers from different countries are transformed into trading cards (RESOCARD) and used in this game. The goal of the game is to use your RESOCARDs to collect as many “hearts” as possible. Luck, fast response, and strategy play important roles in the game. It’s a great party game for everyone!
Where did the idea of this cosplay trading card game come from? Last year, we had launched a social app, RESOC, which was specially designed for cosplayers. One of the features is the digital RESOCARDs which allows cosplayers to have personalized cards appear in the app. From then on, many of the users suggested us to make these digital cards physical. We thought it’s a great idea so we started this project. Then we think why don’t we make more fun out of these cards. A party card game came to our mind. This is the birth of RESOCARD Game.
The Kickstarter campaign is up and running now. It’s set to go for another 24 days.
