Privateer Press is all about previews these couple days. Here’s their latest, the Goblin Tinker.

From the preview:

Gifted with an innate mechanikal aptitude, gobbers often find themselves in high demand on the battlefields of western Immoren. Almost every commanding officer can find a use for a talented gobber tinker. Armed with their tools and a trusty sidearm, tinkers can develop a reputation for solid work in harsh conditions and make considerable fortunes—if they survive the rigors of war.

Nice! Lots of Character. Like that he’s sorta surly. First PP sculpt I’ve liked in a while.

Couldn’t agree more! What a flavorful little sculpt. Any rules for him that you’ve seen?

      Rules here:

      He was released in Garguants.

Figured as much after I saw he wasn’t in Colossals. Still haven’t gotten the Gargants book.

He’s on a 40mm so it looks like we can’t just use him as a mechanik for Cygnar, which is a bit of a shame, but not a deal breaker. Still a great looking model.

          • Oh so he is a bit larger than I expected. I am not familiar with the game and it’s races, I just figured he was goblin sized 🙂

          • GreenJello

The mechanics that come with the Cygnar Mechanics unit are all about the size of 80s Orks, or slightly larger than 40K gretchin. Mainly a bit beefier as models, while being a similar height.

          • wittdooley

It’s his cart that makes him larger, which is one of the best things about the model.

          • My immediate thought was to make this into a portable soup kitchen…

          • GreenJello

I’m not clear on why 40mm makes him unusable in Cygnar, unless you mean as a proxy for a bodger in the Cygnar Mechanic’s Unit.

Personally I’m thinking about getting two, since he’s cheap, can’t be trampled, and fixes stuff better than our current Mechanics.

          • wittdooley

Yeah, I meant as a proxy. I’ve never had problems using the Kilt Lifter because he’s on a similar base as the rest of the trollkin, but this little dude is on a 40mm whereas the meks are on 30mm. And he definitley looks like he fills up the 40mm.

          • GreenJello

Remove him from the base, remove the cart from his hands, add tools, put him on 30 mm base.

  • Oooh I want this! Would go nicely in a diorama… $22!!! I’ll pass for now 🙁
