Privateer Press is just a short while away from releasing their revamped Iron Kingdoms RPG game. In today’s Insider from Simon, they’ve given us a look at how character creation works, as well as a couple samples.
We’re less than three weeks away from the pre-release of the Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Roleplaying Game at Gen Con 2012, and we thought it was high time to share the details of character creation! You’ll find all the fundamental items of character creation in the PDF linked below, including two of the available races, two of the 28 careers in the core book (and a convenient list of all of them), and the full rules for all four archetypes, including all potential benefits!
If you’re anything like me, character creation is the first thing you check out in a new roleplaying book. Actually, if you’re like me, it’s only after you pore over the setting material, which in this book composes the first two chapters before you even hit the first rule. But I digress. You’ll notice that some careers have prerequisite archetypes and races, but aside from those exceptions you’re welcome to mix and match as you please when bodging together your adventurers.
