Here’s to hoping that your week is starting off well (I got new dice yesterday! #NoSuchThingAsTooManyDice). We’ve made it through the first day, hopefully the rest will go by smoothly. I know to help me get along, I’ll listen to some gaming podcasts. Yes, as much as I hear about gaming stuff all day here in the office, there’s always more I can listen to. That’s just how I am.
This week we have: Meeples & Miniatures Episode 240: Fourth Quarter Football; Singled Out Episode 58: Talking Godtear With Sherwin; Nerdherders Episode 22 (112): Campaign Advisors; Masters of the Forge: Altar of War Episode 7: Daemons Codex Preview; The Cardboard Herald Episode 63: Chuck Pint of SFR Inc, the makers of Dragon Dice!; The Secret Cabal Episode 151: The Expanse and Randomness in Gaming; SAGA THORSDAY Episode 73: Crusaders Battleboard and Tactics Pt 1; The Rolistes Episode 26 (Part 1): Dragonmeet 2017, Return to the #PodcastZone; Playin’ and Slayin’ Episode 11: 2018 Goals; Plan of ATK! Episode 18; and News of the North – 2018-01-23.
The Meeples crew get together to catch up with what they have been doing over the Christmas period, chatting about the games they have played and the miniatures they have painted.
For our feature interview, we talk to Andrew Laing about his new American Football game – Fourth Quarter Football – which is currently funding on Kickstarter
We hope you enjoy the show.
In this episode Andrew and Jason talk to Sherwin about GodTear. He talks about the world and background, and also about the six champions that come with the early play test pack.
In this episode the Nerdherders discuss their favorite campaign systems from board games and miniature games. What works, what doesn’t and what could be better. There is also the usual banter about movies, TV and games so strap in and prepare to jump to hyperspace.
Adam is joined by Pat for this special preview of the new Daemons Codex. Adam is playing his DOrks (Khorne Daemons) and Pat is running his Nurgle host. They draw some Eternal War cards and have a bloody, fetid time on the battlefield!
I have a chat with Chuck Pint, el presidente of SFR Inc, the makers of Dragon Dice. We talk about how a group of dedicated players managed to buy out a property from Hasbro, and use their grit, determination, and a little bit of luck in order to keep the game they love alive.
Hey now eveyrone and welcome to episode 151 of The Secret Cabal! Today we talk about fullfilling all our Kickstarter Goodies, Chris reviews a movie about a game that makes people insane murders, we discuss out big Beer Mongers New Years game day and all the games we’ve been playing. Then we review The Expanse from Wizkids. After Tony gives you the skinny on all the important gaming news, we discuss randomness in gaming!

The Rolistes Podcast and the #PodcastZone are back for Dragonmeet 2017.
It was less than a couple months ago but it already feels like ages.
In this first part, several enthusiast tabletop RPG fans answered a few questions:
Stuart, a ” Roliste” (fan of the show) who was kind enough to visit Dragonmeet for the first time to say a few kind words about our show and others participating to the #PodcastZone;
Thirsty from Baylor’s Blade and Bloodthirsty Puppets, introduced us to his homebrew “Spiced System“, and AJ to his youtube channel Sword Coast Soundscapes;
James Wallis, who most of you should remember from Episode 24, who is celebrating the release of Alas Vegas and introduced us to fellow game designers Ian Sturrock from Serpent King Games, and Minka;
Finally, I had the rare privilege to interview “The Angel” and her somewhat more famous sister Kat Tulip from Pocket Mimic.
Stay tuned for more interviews in the second part of our Dragonmeet 2017 episode.
This month the guys reveal their 2018 hobby and gaming goals. They share a rather large list of what they’ve been playing, buying and building, and finally provide a “Play it or Slay It” review of The Expanse.
In this episode of Plan of ATK!, Simon continues to tackle his paint list for the year with Seraphon commissions while Laurie whips up some tabletop quality of her own with a friend’s Fallout board game miniatures. Simon gears up for his first trip to the Las Vegas Open for some monkey business. Dave Taylor, formerly of Games Workshop and Wargames Illustrated joins as special guest; they talk about his vast experiences in the industry and his penchant for boosting Kickstarter quality. Simon wraps it up with some great read recommendations!
