While it’s good to be back in the office and once more in my regular routine, after last week’s ordeal with my apartment, I’m still looking forward to the weekend. For those of us here in the US, it’s even (potentially) a long weekend, what with Monday being Memorial Day. So I’m ready for that to get here as soon as possible. To help it along, I like to listen to some gaming podcasts as I work.

We talk about: Bombshell Miniatures, Afterglow, CoolMiniOrNot, BrokenToad, Mr Lee’s Minis, Figone – JBT figure art, Prodos Games, Fantasy Flight Games, Osprey Games, North Star Military Figures, Ludus Magnus Studio, Impact Miniatures, Whisper, Paymaster Games and Warmonger Miniatures.
In this episode, we talk hobby, gaming, and we go over Chaosludik and the Figurines Québec painting contest that took place last month. So sit back, relax, grab a paintbrush and enjoy the show!
This week the gang gives you a deep dive review of the mystery deduction game Watson & Holmes and a look back at Star Wars Rebellion one year later. We give you a little update on whats going on around the Secret Cabal studios post Kickstarter. Tony T goes through all the big news from around the gaming industry. Then finally, we discuss playing games to your potential.
This week Jack talks with Scott Almes, best known for the Tiny Epic series of games published by Gamelyn Games. That said, Scott’s new joint with Gamelyn is not so tiny; the very impressive looking Heroes of Land, Air, and Sea. Jack and Scott talk about the future of the Tiny Epic series, his partnership with Michael Coe of Gamelyn Games, what makes Heroes of Land, Air, and Sea so special, and deriving meaning and purpose in one’s work and hobbies. Also, Jack gives a list of his 3 favorite Scott Almes games and 3 favorite non-Scott Almes games that can be played during a lunch-break.
Ronnie Renton, the man behind Mantic Games, is in the third chair! We chat with Ronnie about he got his start in the industry and what lead to Mantic Games.
Later we take a stroll down memory lane with Ronnie and discuss the history of terrain in miniature war gaming.
Here’s the second part of our EPIC multiparts episode dedicated to Nephilim, the 90s cult French contemporary occult tabletop RPG, with our guests/players Mira Manga, Willem and Robert.
In this episode Andrew, Martin and Jason talk about Vengeance, the largest Guild Ball tournament in the world, and how they did.
During this, our first Patreon supported bonus episode, we explore the untold “backstories” of many of the hobby’s most popular games. Each of the Pegs pick a game and tell the beginning of a ridiculous and entirely fictitious story about the events that inspired the creation of four favorite board games. The other Pegs then pick up the thread and improvise the remainder of the story.
We talk about all the New games and stories from the Cmon Expo!
The UK Games Expo is the 2nd to 4th of June and it’s the biggest tabletop gaming convention in the UK. It will be three days full of board games, card games, miniatures and roleplaying games and we take a look at the games that have got us excited.
In this episode of the Forgot My Dice Podcast, Jonathan has given up coffee but we managed to cut most of the irritation at everything out of his voice, and also he painted a lot of models. Robert on the other hand is drinking all the coffee, so he is in a pretty goofy mood. Robert also has way to many books piling up in his reading queue. Which he could probably get through if he wasn’t playing so much Destiny. On top of this the boys Deep Dive the Tales From the Loop RPG, the new hotness from the Free League. All this and more on this episode of the Forgot My Dice podcast.
In this episode the gang takes a look at all the great previews GW has been posting about Warhammer 40,000 8th Edition. Tune in as we review, discuss, and speculate about the upcoming new edition of 40K and share some of our hopes and dreams for 8th. Then stick around for Scott’s review of Progenitor from the Black Library.
Welcome to Anonymous Tabletop Episode 14.
In this episode Joe pines for a missing organ, Tim actually talks about a tabletop game, and Katie asks the rest of us to liven up before we all go crazy and she immediately regrets it.
We also talk about the Spring crop of TV shows, Joe gets his mics confused, and Dave wanders off in frustration when the podcast goes careening off the rails yet again.
We then find out what movies the crew wants to check out this Summer, Tim and Dave try their best announcer voices with limited success, and Joe takes an impromptu nap before we coincidentally have one of our most coherant discussions ever.
And last but not least, Geeky Jean tells us where to go, two huge blobs battle a third in Celebrity Death Match, and we reach into Tim’s Sack and find it’s full of monsters. Who would have guessed?
Happy birthday Star Wars! The boys celebrate 40 years of Star Wars by ranking all eight movies. They also discuss Shadow War Armageddon and other random geekosity.
Once again the Meeples & Miniatures team get together to catch up with what they have been doing in the hobby over the past week.
In this show we are joined by Matt Slade of Glenbrook Games Painting Services to chat about his approach to painting miniatures for a living. We talk about various aspects of painting including brushes, paints and techniques
We hope you enjoy the show.
Join Jerry, Sam, David and Callin as they take their first steps into a larger world. This is the last of a 2 part session from the FFG Edge of the Empire RPG Beginner Box.
A very tangential episode where the boys try to stay on topic about Age of Sigmar Skirmish.
