Snowmaicemageddon passed by Atlanta, leaving it mostly unscathed. There’s some ice in the trees, but for the most part, things are just fine, much to the chagrin of schoolchildren all over the area who were expecting the day off, but not ending up getting it.
Anyway, so what Podcasts do we have for you this week? Well, there’s: Game Classy 81: Who Ya Gonna Call?, Screaming Heretic Ep 77 – 50 Shades of Heretic, Gamers Lounge ep. 103 – Shadows of Brimstone, Geeks of the North Episode 11 – Tournament preparation, Meeples & Miniatures ep139 – interview with Spartan Games, and Shiny Model Syndrome Episode 75 – We’re Sorry.
The boys spend a good chunk of time discussing the new Ghostbusters Kickstarter. Add to thatsome discussion on the Dust debacle currently going on, Spartan’s Halo announcement, and Steve french kissing Force of Will.
Fair warning this is a very silly episode and meant to be light hearted. I know there not really much in the way of 40k talk, but it was a lot of fun.
Gaming & Hobby updates
Words from the Wappels
Girls on gaming – Adepticon for newbies
Game Night Grub – Board games and kickstarters
Episode 103 is here and it’s a long one! Clocking in near 3 hours, we have lots of content for you to listen to.
Gamers Lounge Episode 103 is here, a little late but with lots (nearly 3 hours) of content. After Bill provides an opening and some shameless plugs to blogs and podcasts, we move onto the show itself.
Following the hour long initial segment we return with Bill, John, and Kevin reviewing Shadows of Brimstone. We dig into the game, compare it to Myth, and give our thoughts on how it plays overall.
Clocking in close to 3 hours, Bill leaves off on an Outro this time and jumps right to the closing music.
With Templecon right around the corner, we sit down with Steve and Yaum and talk tournament prep. What can you do to get ready for a tournament, be it painting, list building or more esoteric stuff. So sit back, relax, grab a paintbrush and enjoy the show!
In this show, hosts Neil Shuck and Mike Hobbs chat to Neil Fawcett, the Creative Director of Spartan Games. We discuss the history of the company, take an in depth look at their current modular scenery Kickstarter, and then discuss Spartan’ s new development with Microsoft to produce tabletop wargames in the Halo universe.
Hello once again! Our apologies for such an unexected delay between shows. Fate, it seems, did not want us to record for 3 weeks, but we’re back! This week we go over our trip to Templecon, and also some fun army ideas at the end. Enjoy!
