Pink Troubadour Announces New Game “Forestry” for Spiel Essen 2025
Czech publisher Pink Troubadour has announced Forestry, a new board game scheduled for release at Spiel Essen 2025. After a strong showing at Spiel Essen 2024, where their game Galileo Galilei sold out, Pink Troubadour is shifting focus to Forestry, a game that centers on forest management and sustainability.
Designed by Michal Peichl, Forestry is a medium-weight Euro game for 1 to 4 players, with a playtime of approximately 70 to 120 minutes. In the game, players manage a forest by harvesting timber, planting trees, and completing contracts, balancing resource use with sustainable practices. The game includes a solo mode by designer Tomáš Holek and artwork by Michal Řezníček, adding a thematic visual style to the experience.
Forestry includes insights from foresters at the Czech University of Agriculture, bringing real-world perspectives to its mechanics and Order cards, which contain facts and strategies based on forestry science.
According to Michal Peichl, Forestry aims to highlight the importance of forest care and the potential of wood resources. Forestry will debut at Spiel Essen 2025.
