PGSA looking for Deck Our Halls participants
The Professional Game Store Association is looking for retailers to participate in their Deck Our Halls promotion.
From their announcement:
The 4th Quarter is nearly upon us and many professional retailers will create special displays for the holiday season. Manufacturers often struggle with how best to ensure their holiday promotional offerings are being used, and in many cases great ideas are never presented to the Hobby Game Industry simply due to lack of communication.
The Professional Game Store Association would like to change that with the 2010 “Deck our Halls” promotion.
The brain child of John and the staff at the Little Shop of Magic, the promotion will be officially announced to manufacturers by October 1st. In the meantime, we need a core group of committed, responsible retailers willing to dedicate a 4’ x 4’ shelf area in their stores to make the Deck our Halls promotion a success.
Here are the basics: PGSA participating retailers will dedicate a 4’ x 4’ shelf area to the Deck our Halls space. These retailers will keep it stocked with product in accordance with the plan presented by the winning manufacturer or distributor and provide sales data to the winning manufacturer through a survey tool provided by the PGSA.
Manufacturers and Distributors will have until October 15th to submit applications/plans to the PGSA in .pdf format.
Participating retailers will vote on the ‘Deck our Halls’ submissions October 18 – 25 with the winner being announced on October 27th. Additionally, all applications will remain available to all participating retailers, so retailers are free to use any or all of them in addition to the winning plan!
To make this a success we need to develop a dedicated pool of retailers that are part of the program. To register your store, please fill out our online survey.
We ask that you carefully consider how participating in this program can make both your store and the industry a better business and then sign up today! Only retailers that are part of the program will have a vote on the program that is selected to Deck our Halls.
