Pathfinder’s Ultimate Intrigue: Vigilante Playtest Now Open

It’s not all the time that you get to have a worldwide, public playtest of a product from a major gaming company. Some do it more often than others, but it’s still not something you see every day. Well, Paizo just launched their playtest for the Vigilante, a new character class for Pathfinder. If you’d like to get a first look at the new set of rules and give your $0.02 about how they work or are laid out and worded, read on.

Ultimate Intrigue is set to release early next year. Included in the pages are the rules for a new base class for Pathfinder, the Vigilante. The rules for this class have been posted online and you can download them for free to start trying out in your games right away. Paizo says that this is a class unlike any other, and they’re really excited to have people test it out. Of course, if there’s no other class like it, there’s chances stuff could’ve gone wrong or work in ways that were unintended. That’s where your feedback comes in. The playtest forum discussion will last until July 20th, though a “final thoughts” thread will keep going until August 17th.

Long story short: you can try out Batman for Pathfinder (kinda). Go give it a shot and see what you think.
