On the Lamb Games is already over 50% funded for their Endless Fantasy Tactics Kickstarter. Just to show how prepared they are, they’ve already got some artwork for the first stretch goal ready.

From the preview:

We’ve had an amazingly successful first day on the Endless: Fantasy Tactics Kickstarter, and we figure its about time to start talking about the first stretch goal. At $25,000 we’ll unlock the basic Earth Crystal Chest, and with it the Earth Troll, Dwarf Gunsmith, and Beastman Laborer.

I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.

You were right, OtL, that troll really is a dead ringer for me. I might have to sue you myself.

These are pretty cool drawings. I don’t know FF well enough to know if they’re derivative, but I like them.

None of these models look anything like Final Fantasy stuff. As far as I know there are no Dwarfs in any FF game yet. No Trolls either. They are anime-ish though, which has always been what OtL was after. I like them. Not enough to say I am getting the game, but if this is just the start, I might get more interested.

      • There have been dwarves in several Final Fantasy games. Specifically IV, V, I, and IX possibly some of the others too. They do not look much like this dwarf though.

  • That is the most amusing dwarf I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if I’m interested in the game, but if there are more dwarves that look like that guy I’ll buy them.

I don’t know how I feel about that Dwarf. The art is cool, but he has absolutely ZERO torso. His arms seem to be attached to where his ears should be.

      • Yeah, but that’s what make him so appealing to me. I imagine under that beard he’s basically just a head with arms and legs attached which amuses me.

So that dwarf is the joyous union of one of the guys from ZZTop and Mr. Potato Head.
