Anyone know if these guys have a US distributor? I’m trying to put together a 3d HeroQuest board and needs me some doors and whatnots..

I know you could easily build this, 4ton. Do the frame with balsa wood and then make a stamp or hand sculpt the doors with Sculpey. Shouldn’t take you more than an hour or two.

Yeah but I need a butt-ton of these.. if it weren’t many I’d just hand build it.. which is what I’m doing for the furniture… I found a licensed Hirst seller doing doors for cheap though.. so problem solved 😛

Pretty awesome project, by the way. I’d love to see some pics of the stuff your working on in the forum some day, or if you blog it or whatever the kids are doing these days. I’ve been considering doing a nerd blog myself, so all of two people can look at my Mordheim guys and Padme cosplay gear.

I could throw some up.. I wonder if blogger has a limit to the number of blogs you create..

I managed to print the rules from and I got a map but I found out it’s not “correct” because someone doubled up a few of the rows for some reason.. Which is a bummer because I had already printed it and mounted that to a foam board. My plan is to use that as a stand-in.. figure out if the kids like it enough to make it a full on project..
I was thinking of going all Hirst arts or Dungeontile or whatever.. but I’m leaning more and more towards plain old styrene.. 2 layers over some cork board or something.

If the boys stick with it I will eventually try to get them into some Mordheim. I’ve got pretty much everything from the original box set still.. though I understand that there is a living ruleset that might be a little better.

I almost did Hirst for my Mordheim setup, but it feels so much easier just to sit down with a sheet of blue board and draw in the texture with a ballpoint pen. Time-consuming, but less mess and set-up. I can do it on the toilet.

That has got to be exciting, setting up Heroquest for your kids. I’ve been lazily reclaiming my figures and getting the set back together this past year (I “converted” a lot of the orcs to 40K in middle school when I first got Rogue Trader). Mordheim really is great for that ruleset that I can see myself playing twenty years from now. For my son, I bought a crapload of the Confrontation prepainted figs. They can be had insanely cheap. I’m thinking about giving that game a try now that I am somehow managing to score some of the old metals at a reasonable price.

I’ll start up a forum discussion.. I think there’s a bit more to this conversation still.. and it’s a bit off topic 😛

            What? Doors = Heroquest

lol, very true.. but the comments are also getting squished down.. very very narrow.. I bet this few lines of text is extremely compact and longer than it should be as a matter of fact.

I don’t think there is any US distro. Guy on eBay sells some painted up stuff, but that would seem to be it. I’d order a ton of this stuff if I thought it could arrive quickly and shipping wouldn’t wind up being more than the merch.
