Games Workshop has been expanding out their board game lines as of late. But other than maybe some special shoulder pads or something, none have really gotten big, full expansions. That’s not the case anymore, as Warhammer Quest is getting the Shadows over Hammerhal.
There’s also some new Age of Sigmar cavalry and a rather classic miniature getting a new version.
From the website:
Warhammer Quest Shadows Over Hammerhal is a boxed game for 2-5 players, set in – and below – the splendid city of Order, Hammerhal. Up to 4 players can quest in the catacombs and dungeons below the city, while another acts as gamemaster, setting fiendish obstacles, controlling the antagonists and setting the story – it’s up to this player to take charge of revealing the secrets each dungeon has to offer.
The Vanguard-Palladors of the Vanguard Chambers are without doubt the fastest ground elements of the Stormhosts. By transmuting into wind-borne lightning atop their Gryph-chargers, they can ride the celestial hurricane to circumvent the enemy army’s defences, before reassuming their corporeal forms to strike at the foe’s exposed throat with bolt, javelin, axe and claw.
Commanders of the Vanguard Auxiliary Chambers, the Lord-Aquilors are masters of the hunt, tracking their foes across the Mortal Realms as they ride the winds aetheric. When the foe is cornered, the Lord-Aquilor will strike with their starbound blade, channelling their hatred of the enemies of Order into every blow as their Gryph-charger savages the opponent with beak and claws.
An updated version of the classic, iconic Chaos warrior, Slambo is a multi-part resin kit who comes armed with a pair of Chaos Axes which he can use to both carve up his enemies, and fling at those too cowardly to face him in hand to hand combat. Slambo includes a Warscroll, which includes points for fielding him in Matched Play games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and is supplied with a Citadel 40mm Round base.
