New Wargames Illustrated articles and content available

The Wargames Illustrated website has been updated with several new articles. From their announcement:
This month’s exciting update features eleven different articles, downloads and reviews to supplement the content of Wargames Illustrated issue 283. The Making of Viking Dawn Part Five The Viking Dawn game is only one month away, and both Saxon and Viking teams are busily painting their figures. The game masters are putting the final touches to the scenario, and the tabletop terrain is nearly done. The Viking Dawn game will be run over the course of two gaming sessions on Saturday of the convention.  Reviews May 2011 This month we review the books The First Anglo-Sikh War by Amarpal S. Sidhu, Ship 16: The Story of a German Surface Raider by Ulrich Mohr & A.V. Sellwood and In the Steps of the Black Prince: The Road to Poitiers 1355-1356 by Peter Hoskins. In addition to the 28mm Mercenaries by Perry Miniatures and the 25mm scale ruler by Rulers of the World.
Red Rag’s Raid David Bickley takes us through a scenario he created for the Wild West rule set Desperado. First printed in WI200. The Kelly Gang at Glenrowan, 1881 Adam O’Brien presents a very quick look at Australia’s most famous outlaw and provides a few ideas for gaming with this devilish rogue and his defiant gang of reprobates. First printed in WI115. Fire and Fury Small Battles Bill MacDonald gives us a look at the way he adapted the original Fire and Fury rules to play smaller-scale scenarios. First printed in WI107. More From El Cid's Forgotten Battle In WI283 we brought you 'El Cid's Forgotten Battle - The Pine Wood of Tevar'  by James Morris. Although we included loads of great photos in the mag we had plenty more left over and below you will find 'the best of the rest'. Rodrigo, Alvar and Me Alain Padfield presents a scenario set in Spain in the time of the famous El Cid. First printed in WI178. PAW 2011 For the second year, the Plymouth Association of Wargamers held their annual wargames show at the YMCA Sports Centre in Plymouth on the Devon/Cornwall border over the 4-5 February 2011.
