New Strontium Dog Releases Available To Order From Warlord Games

Strontium Dog is the latest minis game from Warlord Games. It delves back into the world of 2000 AD, and all the strange sorts of things that, uh, happened therein. You can order the rulebook, as well as various minis kits, plus markers and dice. Because everyone loves dice.

The setting is late in the 22nd century. Many survivors of the devastating Atomic Wars were mutated by the Strontium 90 fallout. These mutants became an underclass, hated by the ruling ‘norms’. The only job left for them was bounty-hunting.

The strongest of these mutants hunt down criminals throughout the galaxy for the Search/Destroy agency, cruelly nicknamed the Strontium Dogs by the ‘norms’. Operating from an orbiting space station known as The Doghouse, SD agents take many shapes and forms.

Armed with highly advanced technology including, electrified brass knuckles, short-range teleporters and time bombs to name a few, they bring justice to the far reaches of the galaxy!

Successful Search/Destroy agents rely on speed, cunning and firepower in equal measure. The ubiquitous skimmer provides high speed, all-terrain manoeuvrability and is often the vehicle of choice for bounty hunters and outlaws alike. Also known as hover sleds or hov-bikes, skimmers are able to operate in high radiation areas where natural mounts such as Morks struggle.

The Weerd brothers, Cuss, Hiss and Silent, fought alongside Johnny Alpha during the first mutant war. They joined the Search/Destroy agency at the end of the war to cash in on their deadly skills.

Becoming somehow trapped in an alternate dimension, Hell-World, they stole three tickets back to Earth, and would have escaped, but lost them in a fight with Johnny Alpha, against whom they swore revenge.

The Stix brothers come from an unknown number of apparently identical mutants, all of whom are contracted to the Search/ Destroy agency. They are on the whole utterly mercenary and without scruples – ice-hearted killers who affect the look of gunfighters from Earth’s Old West, with an unflinching and laconic demeanour to match.

When your band needs an extra gun or three to back you up, these Goons won’t let you down. They might be S/D Agents, local law enforcement, outlaws or even slavers – depending on the company you keep.
