Okay, first off, that building looks awesome.

Now, having said that, why are people entertained by a battle in Fallujah? Are we really interested in repeating lopsided engagements? It is really a rhetorical question because it is obvious nobody looks back and thinks, for example, Spanish-American war recreations are exciting. Or recreating Vikings pillaging an undefended village, or somesuch.

The US armed forces are awesome. The work they do to minimize casualties and operate with lightning speed is astounding. And that is why a Fallujah engagement is just so silly. I should play devil’s advocate on myself and not be surprised someone is impressed enough to make a wargame, but much like the Falkland Islands engagement, I predict it is a lot less interesting a recreation than one of the more indecisive engagements of the world’s history.

  • Great looking building but can see it set somewhere in Ciaro in the 1930’s.

    You have to be kidding.
