The written word is very powerful. I mean, look at what you're doing right now. I'm imparting knowledge to you via written language (ok, typed, but still). Wizards are well known for having scrolls filled with all sorts of arcane knowledge in the form of powerful spells. As an apprentice wizard that you are (didn't you know? You're a wizard, 'arry!), you'll need to learn from as many scrolls as possible, adding them to your repertoire. But others are looking to get that knowledge, too. You'll have to be quick. That's the story behind Magic ScROLLS, a new dice game that's up on Kickstarter.
In the game, players pick a character that has a certain group of starter spells. When the round starts, everyone begins rolling their dice, looking to match the symbols on their spells, as well as a spell scroll that's in the middle of the board. As you match dice, you'll grab more from the collective pool of dice in the middle. The round ends when either the dice pool is empty or someone has claimed the center scroll. Your spells then activate, doing damage to your opponents in the hopes of knocking them out. The winner is the last wizard on the board.
The Kickstarter campaign's up and running now. They're about 1/3 of the way to their goal with still 24 days to go.
