Are you a fan of movies? Do you like playing trivia games? Would you go to a bean-eating movie with George Wendt? If you answered “yes” to at least two of those questions (preferably the first two), then you might be interested in Moviebomb, a new multiplayer card game that’s up on Kickstarter now.
The game is a bit “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” and a bit “Horse.” What do I mean? Well, in the game, players start by drawing a movie card from the deck. They then read out the movie title. The next player in the circle will then name an actor/actress that starred in that movie. The next player after them then names a movie that also starred that actor/actress. The next player after that then names another actor/actress that starred in that movie. The back-and-forth continues until someone can’t think of a movie or actor/actress or gives a wrong answer. The last person to give a correct answer gets the movie card as a point. The player that gave the wrong answer gets a letter card. The letter cards eventually spell out “Bomb.” So if you get the last letter, you’re out. Then a new round begins, with another movie card being drawn from the deck. You can either play until a player gets a certain number of point cards, or everyone but one player has been eliminated.
The campaign is up and running now and is set to do so for another 29 days.
