"More fun than a barrel of monkeys" is a pretty old statement. I can't say I've ever actually seen a barrel full of monkeys. I doubt that's too comfy for the monkeys. They'd probably be stacked in there pretty tightly. Stacking monkeys is actually the theme of Monkey Business, a new dexterity game that's up on Kickstarter now.
In the game, players are given a certain number of the wooden monkey pieces. There's several different games you can play using the figures. In one, you and the other players look to stack the monkeys as high as you can. The player that causes the stack to fall over loses a banana (last one with bananas is the winner). In another, both players are racing against one-another to create the tallest monkey stack in 30sec. The final version has both players with the same monkey shapes. As one player places a monkey, the other player must mimic their tower. Again, the goal is to have your tower stay standing when your opponent's falls over.
Don't worry. No actual monkeys were harmed via falling during the course of playtesting the game.
The Kickstarter campaign is up and running now. It's only set to go for another 9 days, so if you want in, you'd better hurry.
